2- Finding Nick Valentine

Nick Valentine, the detective has gone missing. How Ironic.. I thought to myself. I persuaded his assistant to give me 400 caps if I find him, I need the caps, plus Nick, so why not? Wait a minute! Before I go I need to go see Piper. I walked towards the gates and made a right into Piper's office. Lifting my gun up I looked around cautiously.

"Calm down jeez, safe place." Piper said.

"You can never be too sure in the Commonwealth." I replied instantly.

"Yeah thats right. So here's the offer, you answer a couple questions for my interview and say uh, I'll come and travel with you."

"If you really want to travel with me, then sure."

"Yes alright now, how was your time in the vault? The jumpsuit and pip-boy is a dead give away." She said.

"Well, I cant really say, I wasnt in there for too long.. When the bombs dropped they took us in there and froze us in these cryo-lators. " I explained.

"Wait, are you saying... You're before the war? You're're a pre-war vault dweller?" She asked stunned.

"Yes." I replied not intrigued at all.

"Hoo, this is story is golden. So how would you compare the Commonwealth to your old life?" She asked writing everything I said on a clipboard.

"Can you even compare the two? My favorite ball park has become a shanty town, smells like the sewer, people are bigger assholes than what they were before, radiated crabs, roaches, scorpions, and a dinosaur like thing. Can you really compare?" I spat gritting my teeth.

"Feeling a little homesick I see... Just a couple more questions. Who is it that you're looking for? You mentioned a missing person.. Who is it?" she asked.

"My son, Shaun. Some people took him, and shot my husband." I replied.

"Oh.. One last thing.. I want you to make a quote directly towards Diamond City." She said.

"For a long time I tried to manage honesty and openness about my personal life because I'm human and I'm normal- well, semi-normal. So keep an honest life." I said quoting Johnny Depp. Too bad he's more than likely dead now.

"Alright thats it, just give me some time to put this together and I said I'll travel with you, so I'm ready to go when you are." She exclaimed.

"Lets head out. I'm going to go find Nick." I said as I was packing up my things.

I grabbed some salvage, purified water, food and chems before leaving Diamond City. I slang my bookbag on, threw 2 pistols and a rifle in there, put my sniper across my back, my knife in my belt, and had my shotgun in my hand.

We walked out of Diamond City and went past Swan's pond. we passed some raiders, they started shooting but just said "Stop shooting boys, let Swan get 'em." What was that supposed to mean? We walked past the pond. Something didn't feel right, something felt... Off. I just shrugged it off and kept walking. I saw a good spot for some salvage.

I turned around, "Pi--?" She grunted being flung to the ground. "Piper!!" I exclaimed, lifting my shot gun and starting to shoot at the big, super mutant who seemed as if he was half swan? ".. Oh god.." I thought to myself. "This is going to suck badly.

As I was shooting at Swan I stepped backwards. He was picking up concrete from the ground and slinging it at me. I shifted to the side each time, still shooting 13 rounds, reloading, 13 rounds. Ugh, I'm out of bullets. Agh! I threw my gun to the ground running in a blown out house to take cover. I reached in and grabbed out my rifle, took a hit of psycho and I heard myself let out a battlrcry. I ran out guns blazing, arrrgg, I aimed for the head, that seemed to do the trick. A couple more bullets and I saw him falling towards me. Oh. Shit. He fell right on top of me. I looked over, I thought I saw piper coming towards me but I couldn't be too sure. My vision was blurry, going out. I looked up, next thing I saw was just pitch black nothing.
