It took me no time at all to find a small apartment and to get back to modeling in New York. It also took people on the sets no time at all to ask and gossip about Billy and myself. After being asked for the fifth time and not having even the slightest idea of how to respond I had rehearsed an answer to give them.

"Billy and I decided it was best for both of us if we went our separate ways for a few different reasons" That was the answer I always gave and I refused to give away any more. It didn't really give anything away except for the fact that Billy and I had split. Somehow my response gave people the impression that I was giving the go ahead to spread false, and occasionally true, rumors about what caused our separation. The rumors ranged anywhere from physical abuse that caused my miscarriage, to clashing egos, drug abuse, cheating, fear of commitment, and so on.

I adjusted back to New York right away. In New York you were no one special and no one famous, I loved that. I could easily blend in and be forgotten about if I wanted to. Going to clubs and getting lost in the crowd was my favorite thing to do. I spotted a familiar face off in the corner of a small club that I normally went to. I couldn't quite figure out who it was and decided to approach the man.

"Hey, don't I know you?" I openly asked the man. I was practically shouting in his face just to be heard over the music. He had black wild looking hair, almost all black clothing, and a pale complexion. He smirked and nodded. "Blair, it's good to see you again" The pale man said with an obvious British accent. Once I heard his accent it started to click.

"You're Robert. Siouxsie's friend, right?" I asked as he pushed some of his dark hair out of his face. He smirked at my question. "Not friend, no" He replied. My face dropped once I realized my mistake.

"Shit, yeah. Right, sorry" I said as all the pieces fell into place. "That's alright" Robert said as he crossed his arms. "It's been a while since I've seen you. What are you doing in New York?" I asked as I tried to yell over the music that only seemed to be getting louder.

"I'm on tour with my band for our new album" Robert loudly said as he leaned closer to me. "The head on the door, right?" I asked making Robert smile. He nodded in response.

"I love the album. It's so good I can listen to it over and over for hours" I said as the smile on Robert's face only grew bigger. He was blushing and beaming with pride. "We're having a party not too far from here tomorrow. Would you like to come?" He asked.

"A lot of famous people?" I asked and smirked. "You're famous too you know" Robert said as my smirk turned into a smile. I shook my head. "I'm nobody" I admitted before agreeing to show up.

The party was at someone's apartment. It was packed with people and even had a small stage against one wall. I squeezed my way past people and managed to find a couple of familiar faces. I stayed and talked with them for a while before wandering off to find something to drink. There was a small bar looking area with two men mixing and serving drinks. I squeezed my way out of the crowd and bumped into a man at the bar.

"Sorry" I said as I turned towards the man. My stomach turned when I saw who I bumped into. A pair of piercing blue eyes met mine before he spoke my name. "What the fuck are you doing here?" I rudely asked.

"I thought you would've been happier to see me" Billy replied. I scoffed. "Happy to see you? You've got to be fucking joking, right?" I said and rolled my eyes so far back in their sockets that I thought I caught a glimpse of my brain. I walked towards one of the men serving drinks before Billy grabbed my arm and pulled me back.

"Blair....can't you just give me another chance?" Billy asked. For a second I hesitated, that was until I saw the doe eyed red head by Billy's side. She was following him around like a lost puppy and that could only mean two things, either she was his girlfriend now or just some girl he was fucking. Neither one made me feel any better. Of course Billy had already moved past me. I wasn't at all surprised, but I was hurt. I roughly pulled my arm out of his grip.

"You know what just....fuck off. Okay Billy?" I asked as he stared at me with a stupid and confused look on his face. It was as if he didn't remember what had happened before I left, that upset me more than him wanting another chance.

"But Blair!" Billy protested. "Fuck off" I said through gritted teeth. I walked towards the man behind the bar and sighed. My chest ached, I wanted to cry and I could already feel the tears welling up in my eyes. "What can I get you?" The man asked as he leaned against the wooden bar.

"Vodka" I replied. "With?" The man asked. "More vodka" I answered. He smirked and nodded before poring me the drink. I took a sip from the glass before walking off with drink in hand. I must've been paying more attention to not spilling my alcohol than I was to where I was walking because before I knew it I had bumped into someone else.

"Sorry, I can't seem to walk without bumping into people today" I admitted as I watched a small amount of liquid from my drink fall on to floor. That tiny drop would be a tiny less drunk I would be and that was a disappointment. I looked up from the floor as the man turned around. I let out a gasp when I saw who I bumped into. Thankfully it wasn't Billy again. I had bumped into Richard Butler, the singer from The Psychedelic Furs.

"Maybe it would help if you didn't keep your head down all night" He said with a smirk as his eyes scanned me over. I let out a nervous laugh before brushing a few of my loose curls that had fallen down in front of my face behind my ear.

"That was quite a show back there" Richard said as he pointed at the bar. I cringed. "Was it noticeable?" I asked and bit the inside of my cheek. Richard chuckled.

"Just a bit. You had everyone looking at you, including all the men that were already staring at you" He said before taking a sip of his drink. My cheeks flushed at his comment. "Why were they staring?" I asked nervously thinking I might have had a wardrobe malfunction that made the men gawk at me. Breasts exposed or something just as embarrassing if not worse.

"Because they can't believe how beautiful you are. I haven't been able to take my eyes off you since you walked in" Richard said as he smiled down at me. My face felt hot and I struggled with my words. "Thank you" I managed to timidly squeak out. I felt as if my brain had melted into mush and my tongue had turned to a fat gooey mess that refused to move. But at the sound of Billy's voice calling my name I had managed to quickly pull my liquid mess of a head back together.
