Your pov
I sit with my hands in my lap, staring at the floor, self conscious of the dress I was wearing. I simply sighed, trying to get the butterflies out of my stomach. Today was the day, I was going to perform, on stage, with Kousei, playing Paganini Caprice 24. In all honesty, I wasn't nervous at all, I never got nervous performing, I had done it so many times, I've become accustomed to it. Sure, maybe the first or second time I played in front of people, I would get the debut jitters, but I never do anymore. The truth was, I was trying to blend in, me being the lead violinist, I was getting a lot of unwanted attention, gossip filled whispers, unwavering stares, and worst of all, cat calls. You don't know how bad I just wanted to turn around with my glare from hell and take anyone who did out at the knees screaming 'I have a boyfriend dammit!'.
Oh speaking of which..... WHERE THE HELL IS THE IDIOT?! I have been sitting here for twenty minutes waiting for him to change, he said it would take him like 5 minutes but nooooooo, I have to sit here for fifteen minutes longer than predicted, I swear to god, does this kid even know how precise I am about time schedules. When he gets out here, he better have a damn good excuse for why he is taking so long.
Kousei's pov
I sit in the backstage bathroom, staring at my reflection, being beyond nervous for what (y/n) will say when she sees me. I have been nervous to go on stage before, but never THIS bad. I have been trying to reach for the door about eighty times in the last fifteen minutes, I bet (y/n) is pissed that I told her I would be out quickly when I just keep retracting my hand away from the door knob.
Suddenly, my phone starts to ring and I pick it up out of my pocket. The contact name reads "(Y/n) <3" and I answer the call, trying to get my hands to stop quivering. "H-Hey (y-" I was cut off by what I had call previously a 'pissed' (y/n). "WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN, I'VE BEEN SITTING HERE FOR FIFTEEN MINUTES WAITING AND I BET YOU DAMN WELL KNOW IT!!! SO YOU BETTER GET YOUR PRINCESS ASS OUT HERE BECAUSE WE ARE UP IN THREE ACTS!!!" After she had stopped screaming, I heard her pant a bit. "I'm so sorry (y/n) I'll be right there." I hung up the call and without hesitation I threw the door open and ran to where me and (y/n) went our separate ways to get changed.
When I turned the corner, I see (y/n) sitting on a bench, turning a tuning peg (the tuning pegs, for those who don't know are the small peg like things located on the top of the violin. There are four pegs in all, one for each string, G, D A, and E. To make a string higher, you turn it toward the back of the violin, and vise versa, slowly pushing in to make sure the pegs stay in their new tuned position....... Oh, you don't care, I know, I just wanted to share... :3) on her violin, making sure it didn't sound out of tune. But the look on her face wasn't pleasant. "Hey Kousei." Shit, she saw me. "H-Hey (y/n), uhm I am sorry fo-" I trailed off when she stood up and her beautiful dress flowed around her. It was (f/c) and hugged her figure just right, not too revealing, but mature for someone her age. "Do you like what you see or what Arima?" She said with a giggle. I turned bright red and let my gaze fall to the floor but that made (y/n) laugh harder. "Jeez, loosen up, you don't look too bad yourself you know." I looked back up to see her smiling and I felt my nerves melt away. "(y/f/n) (y/l/n), you're up next, please take your place in the wings." We both looked over at a female stage manager and nodded. (Y/n) grabbed her violin in her right hand, and in her left hand, laid mine. "Come on, I think we've been waiting long enough." She said as she pulled me into the right wing of the stage.
??? pov (new right?)
I crept into the front lobby of Towa hall, I heard Arima was playing and I couldn't miss it. I looked around and noticed a familiar couple of figures standing in the center of the lobby. One of them was a small girl with short blonde hair tied in pigtails, and a tall male with spiky blonde hair and a smug look on his face.
He suddenly turns around and looks at me, I freeze. "Emi?" He asks as he looks at me and tilts his head in confusion. Takeshi and Nagi Aiza.(can I ask why these three characters are never in any fanfic, now that I think about it, Koharu and Hiroko are almost never in any either, hm, I don't know?) "Emi, what are you doing here? Are you here to stalk Arima with Takeshi over here?" Nagi asks and my face turned red and looked over at Takeshi and saw his cheeks flush in embarrassment as well. "So, uh, the competition is about to start, we should head in right?" I say, in a rush to change the subject. "Yeah, we should."

Takeshi's pov (so many new character pov's and so many interruptions you probably couldn't care less about.)
I sat down in the auditorium with Nagi sitting on my right and Emi on my left. "Hey Takeshi?" Nagi says leaning to her left to whisper to me while the performance was going on. "Uh, yeah, what's up?" I say casually. "Did you check who Arima was playing with?" I shook my head and pulled out a program I was given on the way in. By now, Emi had leaned over to listen, clearly curious as well "Someone named (y/f/n) (y/l/n)?"
Suddenly, Emi ripped the program out of my hands. "No. Way." Emi said, almost star struck. The contestant number on the stage changed from eleven to twelve and I say Kousei walk on. "Well here we go." I saw the violinist walk on, and my eyes widened, in fact, everyone in the entire audience looked exactly like I didn't but I could tell for different reasons because people whispering 'is that (y/f/n) (y/l/n)?' and 'Oh my god, she's hot' or 'Who knew that Kousei Arima could get a chance to play with someone as legendary as THE (y/f/n) (y/l/n)'. I didn't know why everyone one was making such a big deal, but then she started playing.
I felt my body shiver and my palms (There was a typo and it literally spelled plams, I am crying) begin to sweat. Her entire body moved like a wave, hypnotizing and peacefully. The fast paced song made me smile like an idiot, I never thought I would get to hear Kousei Arima the same way I did when I was little. But this girl. She. She proved me wrong.
Kousei's pov (back to the old grind)
I listened to the violin, and I never knew that (y/n) was capable of something like this. She played the song perfectly, not a single mistake, the entire song was played to perfection, but, it wasn't robotic, I didn't even know that was possible. Hiroko was right, you can take the girl away from the spotlight but you can't take the spotlight away from the girl. Me and (y/n) let the last note ring out and no one applauded. I was shocked, I would have just stood up and applauded immediately, but then I remember the first time I heard (y/n) play. The trance she left us all in was impeccable, I couldn't move even if I wanted to. (y/n) had a smirk on her face, as if she knew that a delayed applause meant she did a great job, honestly I think she did.

I exited the stage after a standing ovation from the audience and judges and pats on the back from the stage crew, sweating buckets, feeling that I obviously drained myself. I need to get home soon. "(y/n), that was amazing, I never knew you could play that well." I looked over at Kousei and thanked him for the compliment. I held onto the wall for support, as I felt my knees buckle under me. "(Y/n) are you okay!?" Kousei yelled to me. "I'm fine, just really drained. I think I am just going to go get changed and head home if you don't mind." I said, and wavered my gaze up to a concerned Kousei. "Yeah, okay, I'll stay here and text you a picture of the results okay?" I nodded and headed to the bathroom to change.
-le time skip to you being home-
"(y/n) I can't get over how amazing you played." I looked over to see my aunt, named Caroline, plopping herself onto the couch after driving us home. "Thanks." I slowly feel my words slur together, and my whole body feel weak. I was able to pull my sorry ass to the top of the stairs until the darkness I had been attempting to fight off consume me, and I was sent into a painful trip back down the stairs.
(DAYUM, LONG CHAPTER MUCH!!! I also wanted to let you know, I am going to take the next couple of days off, I might just take tomorrow off, but don't bet too surprised if I take two days after off. I hope you can understand. BYEE <3
