"Wow, that is a killer design. It's sexy and decent at the same time. And it looks so real." Ariel said.

She sat with me at design class, which was quite unusual.

I appreciated Ariel's company really, but I didn't think I could stand her any longer. She was definitely winning the chatterbox award of the year.

"Thanks." I said for what seemed like the hundredth time.

"Really, how did you do that sleeve? It's so nice and yet so complicated and so sophisticated."

"Thanks." if I said that word one more time, I might have gone crazy.

The bell rang.
I'd never been happier to hear a bell ring. I stood up and packed all my things. Ariel did the same. She hadn't made a concrete design all the while we were in class. She had spent most of her time complimenting my work.

We walked out of the classroom together, but I was able to escape her when I caught sight of Bells and Anji on their way to the diner. They seemed caught up in a heated conversation.

"What's up you guys?" I asked as I joined them.

"Great, you are here... Bells thinks she's falling for Scott. The help's son."

My eyes bulged. I couldn't believe it. "You used to see him as a brother... What happened now?"

"A lot happened lately... I really can't put a hand on it... But his been on my mind a lot these days and he's so sweet with me and caring, I just want to be in his arms forever and... " She sighed dreamily.

" We'll then, I have great news for you. " I said, happy to be the bearer of good news.
" I believe he feels the same way about you.... No let me rephrase... Scott is in love with you."

"What makes you say that?" she asked, visibly excited.

"Girl... Haven't you seen the way he looks at you? He hated Nate cause he was jealous of the guy. He'll probably die of happiness if he knows you are falling for him."

"So what do you suggest? Do I talk to him about it?" She asked looking back and forth from me to Anji "Or do I wait for him to come forward and confess his feelings?"

"Maybe you should wait. But throw hints at him though, so he'll come out of hiding." Anji said and I nodded in agreement.

"Thanks you guys... Oh gosh, my heart's pounding just thinking of him." she said as we reached the diner.

We grabbed our meals and headed towards our table. Ellen was already there, so was Ayla with her new boyfriend, Kyle.
I couldn't believe how Ayla was acting. She was literally throwing herself on this guy. Like a needy girlfriend. I'd never seen her so bewitched, so infatuated.

"Hey guys." Ellen said, looking relieved to see us. It was obvious she had had enough with Ayla drooling over Kyle.

"Hey." Bells, Anni and I chorused. I could feel Kyle's gaze on my face as I settled on the bench beside Ellen and opposite him and Ayla and Anji. I struggled with myself not to gaze back at him because he was sitting directly opposite me. His gaze made the hair at my back stand, and not in a pleasing way.

"Why did Ayla bring him here?" I whispered to Ellen when Ayla wasn't looking.

"I have no idea." Ellen whispered back.
I was beginning to feel like being with my best friend was going to be a strain as long as she was with Kyle.

Just as I walked out of the college to the college's parking lot... My eyes caught the least person I expected to see.

My mum.
