May kumatok sa pinto ko. Bumilang ako ng 3 seconds sa utak ko then a voice followed, "Miss Lakewood?"
What now?
"Master told me to wake you up when his sister arrives. She's here now." Sister?
"This way, Miss Lakewood."
"You can take orders from me, right?" tanong ko habang naglalakad kami papuntang somewhere.
"Yes, Miss. What may I serve you?"
"Don't call me Miss Lakewood anymore. Tell your other friends, too."
"What should we call you then, Miss?"
"Just Trixie."
"As you wish, Mi--"
"Just Trixie."
"As you wish, Trixie."
Dammit, I should've remembered the way back to my bedroom. Paano ako babalik nito?
"Hello there, niece." Dumako ang tingin ko sa sofa na may nakaupong apat na taong nagsisiksikan at halos di na magkasya dahil para sila 'yung mga tipong kumakain 5 times a day.
"Mother, your waist is as wide as the entire universe! Just stand up and greet her!" singhal nung isa.
"Shut up, Carolina! Don't you forget that you came from this same waist, you ungrateful child!" sigaw nung pinakamalaki sa kanila.
"Yeah, Carolina. That's why you are that big," mapang-asar na sabi nung isa kay Carolina. Pare-parehas lang naman silang matataba, nag-aasaran pa.
"Excuse me? You're saying something, Katherine? When you're as big as me?"
"If you two won't shut your petty mouths, your mother will sit on you!" pagpapatahimik nung tatay sa kanila. I wouldn't want that too. "Rosalinda, greet your niece now."
"Didn't I already, Roberto?"
"No, I mean, proper greeting her like hugging her--"
"Oh shut up, Robbie! You just want to get rid of me! I can't stand up, okay? Maybe, Katherine could. Kath!"
"I can't, Mom."
"Oh good heavens! You!" tinuro ako ni Rosalinda. "Beatrix, right? Tell your father to afford a bigger sofa, please? He's a big-time businessman and he can't buy a sofa? How cheap!"
