(Kade's POV)

When he asked me the question I froze. What should I say? I stare back at him trying to decide. I take a deep breath sitting down next to him. "It's a long story," I sigh rubbing my arms.

How would I even begin. It's been a train wreck sense my dad passed away. How do I say 'well my dad passed and my moms a drunk whore' there's no good way to say that ,or any other part of my past for that matter.

"Hmm I'll take that," he smiles tilting his head. "What about you Mr. big shot?" I laugh nudging him.

He leans back a little with a smile. "Well I'm future alpha..I live not far from here. I'm also a jockey," he looks over at me. "Well then.. you must be popular." I smile tilting my head some. "What about you?" He says smiling a little, "What was your school like?"

I sigh remembering the good old days. The ones where my dad would be grilling steaks outside on a nice summer day. My mom would be making lemonade in the kitchen. Me and my friends would be gossiping by the poolside. Laughing and singing. I miss that.

"I was popular. I was a cheerleader. Had a lot of friends. Respected. Until my dad passed," I look down remembering that day.

Me and my dad were out ,and we were picking berries from the woods. We were laughing and talking. We stopped for only a moment when he said, "if something happens to me. Run." I'll never will forget those words. "Nothing will though," I smiles, 'cause you're the toughest wolf in the pack!" He patted my head and gave me a hug then kissed my forehead. "I love you Kade," it was the first time he's ever said that to me. I didn't understand. I didn't say it back I just smiled. But as soon as I started walking again ,out of nowhere a rouge jumps him. I dropped the basket ,and I screamed. He looked at me ,and yelled, "RUN, KADE!" My dad took his wolf form and fought back. I ran as fast as I could away from them. I went to get help.

I got back into town told my mom. And the whole pack went out looking for him. We searched for months. But every time the trail came up empty. But one day the alpha came to me and my mom. Told us, 'While we were out hunting, we found his remains. I'm sorry for your loss we'll mourn for him tonight. Have a feast in his honor. Your father was a good man. Remember that.' And that was that. A month after we moved and came here. I blame myself for his death everyday.

"Oh I'm so sorry," Blaze's eyes shown sadness as he leans towards me. I wipe my eyes sighing, "it's okay.. he's in a better place." Blaze puts his arms around me ,and hugs me tightly. I put mine around his waist. Before I knew it I was crying. He patted my head ,and he whispers softly, "Sh. Sh. It's ok." I relax back ,blushing brightly.

He pulls away ,and I whimper a little. "Blaze," I shutter ,and he slowly touches my cheek. He smiles his irresistible smile ,and he pulls me closer by my waist. "Kaidence.." he stares into my eyes ,and I see the future. I see us. I want to be with you Blaze. So bad. Please let me. He rubs my cheek with his thumb ,and I raise my hand to his neck. His eyes twinkled and for a moment I actually felt like I was free.

Free from my past. Free from worry. Free from my pain. Free from judgment.

"Kiss me, Kaidence," he whispers slowly leaning in. As I lean in I slowly put my forehead against his. I could feel his breath again my lips. The night was perfect. Our wolves were so close to becoming one. I couldn't stand it anymore! I need just a taste of this! I lean in my lips touching his. My body gets an electricity shocked threw it. And suddenly I couldn't stop.

This is it. This is love?
