Staying

(Kade's POV)

I watch the Alpha and that women walk out of the room. I finally took the time to breath a little. I'll wait until we get to our room to tell Blaze what I found out. Hopefully he doesn't still think this is all in my head.

Walking out of the pack house ,I run my hand threw my hair. Blaze was sitting in the car ,staring at me threw the window. I pull my hair from my eyes ,starting to walking up to the car. "Hey come on..help me with the bags ,we're staying here for the night." I say, walking to the back of the car. I open the trunk ,and I pull out my bags. He gets out ,and he looks at me. I look at him ,pulling my last bag out ,and I start to walk back to the house.

He grabs my arm, "Let me take your bags." He says slowly leaning down ,grabbing the handle of one. I let him ,and he grabs his then takes mine. He smiles at me ,and I blush a little.

He has his moments where he can be a total gentleman. Maybe I should go easy on him. I mean he's trying so hard to get close to me. I think I'll talk about it with him tonight.

I smile at him ,and he gives me a shocked look. He seemed to of relaxed some. Probably cause he saw I was okay. I turn from him continuing into the pack house.

We walked up two flights of stairs before we reached our room. He dropped the bags with a boom ,then he collapsed on the bed. I could tell he was exhausted from carrying them. I start to unpack our clothes, "So I talked to the Alpha. He said we can stay here for as long as we want. And he was acting strange so.. I know he knows more then he's telling. I'll talk to him tomorrow if he's not busy." I say looking back at Blaze. He leans off the bed looking at me. He didn't have a judge full face so I felt much better tell him this now.

I sit down on the edge of the bed. "Hey.. Blaze?" I turn around sitting with my legs crossed on the bed. He tilts his head, "Yea what is it?" He glances into my eyes ,and it felt like it was a cosmic moment. He smiles a little ,and he pulls a strand of hair from my face. His touch was soft and gentle ,giving me goosebumps. "Listen, I'm sorry..I never had a stable relationship." He says his eyes meet mine. I gulp and I give him a confused look.

Why is he apologizing? I was the one not opening up to him. I should have known he didn't exactly know how be in a relationship.

"I am gonna tell you the truth. I was kind of a player," he sighs leaning back, "I'm not saying it cause I'm proud of it. But I'm scared to lose you. The girl you saw at school. She is the one I was messing around with a lot. It was before I met you. And to be honest you've changed me." I could tell he meant it because, Rose told me he never says what he means.

"I'm sorry too." I say his expression changed to surprise. His hand touches mine, "I'm sorry, I just have been threw a lot.. it's hard for me to trust anyone." I look away, "Listen there's something I want to tell you about my-.."

A huge crash could be heard from outside.  A bunch of people started to scream. Fire flew across the windows catching houses on fire. Blaze jumps up ,and he grabs my hand. James ,the Alpha's son, runs to our room yelling, "Hide for now. I'll come back and get you." Blaze nods pulling me to my feet. James had blood on his clothes from who knows who, "my dad told me to protect you." James says.

Blaze opens a wardrobe pushing me in, "I'll come back and get you two once they leave. DO NOT COME OUT. No matter what!" Blaze climbs in with me and the boy shuts the doors. There was a little crack to see a slight bit of light.

I look at Blaze ,and he had a protective look. He sniffs the air ,and threw the darkness his eyes shined gold. He whispers to me, "I smell rouges." I start to tremble.

The last rouge I saw was the one that killed my dad. Normally rouges attack weaker villages. Why are they attacking on this big.

He holds my hand ,rubbing it to calm my nerves, "if it comes to it I'll protect you," he whispers. I peer threw the crack ,and i hear voices from outside the room. The door opens ,and I see the Alpha fly onto the floor. I start to growl.

"Oh Micheal," the voice laughs, "you shouldn't of let that girl in here. Tell us where she is and you won't die."
