His Scars

(Kade's POV)

As soon as I arrived in the emergency room I see Blaze. My sigh escapes me. Oh thank you lord I thought. He was hurt but not in critical condition. I run up hugging him. 

He winces ,but he keeps the hug going. "I'm so glad you're okay," I say burying my face in his chest. His back had claw marks ,and he was covered in dirt and sweat. His lip was busted ,and my wolf was whimpering at the sight of this.

"I'm okay ,Kade," he smiles rubbing my cheek. We really haven't had a moment like this sense the party ,and it's been a little over a week.

"Here, let me clean you up," I suggest, he nods a smile still on his face. It's amazing he can smile after being attacked like this. I don't know if I could of.

The emergency room was in panic, people were rushing around. Blood covered the floor ,and tools. Doctors were barking orders at nurses in the waiting room. 'Get me water!' Or 'get me stitches!' It was never ending to me.

I sat Blaze down on a cot. His eyes looked straight forward as I cleaned his wounds. All he did was tense up from time to time. As I clean the claw marks on his back ,my eyes see long scars going down his spine that were much older. I stare at them.

"What's wrong?" He stares at me threw the mirror. I look at him ,and I look back at his scars.

"How did you get these," I touch them with my finger tips. His body tenses as if he didn't want to recall it.

"It's a long story," he says he seemed so serious. He continued staring at me ,and he turns to me. His hands take mine, "I'll tell you one day."

I hug him ,my eyes tearing. I don't know if I love him. I'm afraid. All of these secrets are messing with my head. I don't know what's going on. I'm losing people or hurting people left and right. I feel as if I'm to blame.

He takes me in his arms ,and we stay like that. Laying in the cot I held him ,and he held me. I haven't slept for three days so my eyes were falling asleep. I feel safe in his arms. Safest I've ever felt sense my dad died.
