I set up the pack house with Kade's favorite color streamers and ribbons. Alpha Micheal ,along with others, helped me get it up in time. I prepared all of Kade'a favorite foods as a surprise. She thinks we didn't plan a party ,but I'm pretty sure Rose told her about it last night when Kade spent the night.
I'm sorta worried about Jay. He sort of disappeared early this morning ,and I haven't told Rose about it either. I sent Troy out to look for him ,but I haven't heard back from him.
"Blaze the place looks great!" Alpha Micheal says ,placing a hand on my should with a pat.
I look up at him with a chuckle, "thanks to you ,and the other pack members."
"Don't be so modest! Take some pride. You did plan all of this," he says, removing his hand from my shoulder.
He walks over to the window in the den. He stood tall his hands behind his back. Micheal is such a role model. It would explain why he was chosen. He is very wise also.
"Blaze," a voice cuts threw ,and I look up seeing Micheal staring at me.
I froze ,somewhat embarrassed, he could probably tell cause he then lets out a deep laugh.
"I used to have a son almost exactly like you. He always froze when I called his name." He sighs looking out the window.
I walk over ,looking at him, "What happened to him? If you don't mind me asking."
His eyes went sort of somber, "well I was married to this beautiful woman. She was my truest love. My mate-," he says cutting himself off.
I saw his posture slowly break down. He started slouching ,and his arms dropped. The thing that gave it away most was his eyes. Out of all the Alphas I met most of them were hard. They never showed emotion. They all taught me not to ,but I couldn't hold it in.
"One day when Kade was younger. Her father and I took her to pick berries. While we were in the woods I smelt smoke. Joel ,Kade's father, told me to go check it out. He told me that he'd stay with Kade. So I turned into my wolf ,and ran towards the smell. When I got to the source ,I realized what it was," He wiped his eyes as he told his story, "I realized I was back in the village. I realized my house was on fire. I saw everyone trying to put it out. I could hear Jane screaming. My son was crying.."

"I ran in. I was burned by so many beams. But.. I couldn't get to them. Kade's father came back ,and saved me. He grabbed me pulling me out of the building just as it collapsed. I didn't hear Jane or my son crying after that. It was silent." He sniffles ,regaining his posture, "Joel asked me if I wanted to be his right hand man. I declined many times ,but finally I said alright. And now here I am."
I was silent for a long time. I mean what do you say to that? 'Sorry for your loss?' Or 'sad to hear that?' There really isn't anything to say.
"Here have a fun time I'm gonna go take care of somethings," he says leaving the house.
I walk to the door watching him leave. Rose's car starts to come to view as I watch Michael stroll along the side walk.
