"Katherine's back? What the hell do you mean Katherine's back?" Stefan asks Damon angrily, to which he shrugs and walks around Elena's kitchen.

Stefan sighs and Elena sits at her kitchen table, "Well she said she fooled one of us, what does she mean by that?"

Damon chuckles a bit, "I may have ran into her earlier, I thought she was Elena."

Stefan raises his eyebrows at his brothers response, "And what happened when you thought she was Elena?" He asks and Damon shrugs, Elena looks between both of the brothers but locks her eyes on Damon, waiting for his response.

"We may have kissed?" Damon says like it's a question, "What do you mean you kissed?" Stefan asks much more angrier than before, "Well it's when two lips pucker and -"

Damon sentence is cut off because Stefan comes speeding towards him, however Damon aware of his brothers actions before he did them, moves across the room and ends up beside Elena.

"Very predictable brother." Damon says to his brother, and before Stefan charges at him again, Elena gets up from her seat and stands between them. "Stefan wait. He kissed Katherine, not me. I wouldn't do that." Elena says reassuring Stefan.

"We don't have time for this guys." Elena speaks but both brothers ignore her, instead they glare at each other and Stefan mutters later, Damon nods without breaking their intense stare down.

"John must know something, there has to be a reason why Katherine tried to kill him." Elena says a moment later, breaking the brothers out of their heated trance. "She's Katherine, she loves to play games and you're fooling yourself if you think you can find out what she's up too." Damon says while turning away from them as he leans against the wall. "No Elena's right, John might know something through Isabelle. Your mother, she was in touch with Katherine so maybe we can go to the hospital, get him to talk." Stefan buds in, placing his hand on Elena's shoulder gently.

Damon rolls his eyes, "No, I have a better idea."

"And whats that?" Elena asks, "I'm just going to ignore the bitch." Damon replies and Elena gives him a confused look, "And that's smart?" Elena adds on. Damon shrugs, "If Katherine thinks she's being ignored, it will lure her out, she'll make a move."

"And then what?" Stefan asks his brother with a annoyed look on his face, "Stake her, rip her head off, something like that." Damon replies and then proceeds to walk out of the house, leaving Stefan and Elena alone.

"You okay?" Stefan asks once he knows Damon left for sure, Elena nods and leans into Stefan, he wraps his arms around her and holds her. "Are you okay?" Elena asks and looks up to meet Stefan's eyes. "With Katherine back and all." She adds on, and Stefan sighs and nods, "As long as you're okay, I'll be fine." Stefan says and Elena looks up at him for a moment later before nodding and leaning her head back against Stefan's chest.

"Get some sleep, we'll go see John tomorrow." Stefan says and they both make their way upstairs.

Visiting John wasn't the greatest thing they did, but they had bits of useful information that could come in handy.

Right now they were currently arriving at the famous Lockwood mansion. In honour of Mayor Lockwood.

Bonnie walks up to Elena, a stern look on her face.

"What's wrong?" Elena asks as Bonnie grabs both Stefan and Elena's arm, dragging them to an empty bedroom.

"Katherine's here. She posed as you early, I had no idea." Bonnie said, knowing Katherine could hear her anyways.

Stefan ran a hand through his hair, "Elena, you need to leave with Bonnie. I'll deal with her." Elena gives him a confused look, "No, Stefan. We do this together."
