Third Person's POV
The next morning Maria got ready for the day early, she wanted to get this Klaus thing over and done with so she could leave and have her fun once again.
That morning Mikael came to the house and Elena put a dagger in his chest. So when Stefan called Klaus and told him the news, he obviously didn't believe him. He had asked to speak to Rebekah who confirmed it all. But once Klaus told them he was coming back, Elena pulled the dagger from Mikael's chest and he was woken up once again.
Caroline was told to organize some homecoming party so Mikael would have a chance to kill Klaus then and everything was set in motion. The only problem was Rebekah, nobody trusted her not to tell Klaus. But they had a plan for that already. And now Maria was currently getting ready for said party.
An hour before the party, Matt found out that Maria was back. Which made him angry at everyone else- why wouldn't they tell him? He'd only been trying to track her for the last few months and Elena promised she'd notify him when Maria got back. So he headed over to the boarding house, determined to see the girl he loved.
"She's back? Why didn't anyone tell me?" Matt asked angrily from downstairs but Damon prevents him walking in, "Trust me Donavon, she isn't herself and I wouldn't put it past her to kill you."
"She wouldn't do that." Matt tries to reason but Damon simply shakes his head, "My sister only made me promise her two things when she first came back to Mystic Falls, one was to let her leave for good after Klaus was dead. The other one was the make sure you stay alive no matter what it takes. Now, go home."
Matt let's out a sigh before giving up, it wasn't much use. It's not like he was stronger then Damon, so he'd have to find a way to Maria in a different way.
Damon closes the door and let's out an annoyed groan, if Maria's emotions were on everything would much easier. He wouldn't be so stressed, especially with Stefan being under Klaus's compulsion and Maria being emotionless.

Maria's POV
Klaus was coming back to town, which meant Caroline was organizing a party and I had no idea what to wear for this so called homecoming, but by tonight Klaus will be dead and I'll be free to leave.
Damon and Stefan had told me that Elena was going to dagger Rebekah, none of us could trust her and I wanted things to go as planned so I didn't object. Not like I was going to anyway.
"Elena did it, they're putting her body in a coffin in the cell downstairs." Beth suddenly announces, she stood at my door with a somewhat sad look on her face.
I look away from her after awhile, "Okay. You can leave."
Beth sighs and walks further into my room, I let out a dramatic annoyed groan and let myself fall back against the chair I was currently sitting on in my room, I was just about to finish my make up but now I'm being rudely interrupted.
"What do you want?"
"I want you to turn your humanity back on."
I look back at her with a bored expression, "And why the hell should I do that Bethany?"
"Why wouldn't you? What's the point of being immortal if you can't enjoy the heightened feelings that come with it? You never want to love again? Feel pride again? Feel hope again? I don't believe it. I know you want to feel something Maria, so why don't you do it?"
I have to admit, she could be good at this one day. "You're good at that, in a few years- if you're alive then- when you turn your own vampire for the first time, I'm sure that exact speech will work on them." I say with a laugh and Beth looks a bit taken back.
