Third Person POV

"I had to inject her with vervain. She might wake up soon but she's weak, just keep snapping her neck. This one is out cold, she'll stay unconscious for awhile, she's human so don't get them confused please." The woman with short hair told the other person she was with, the guy nods and gets in the vehicle before driving away to the location.

The woman gulps before looking down at her fancy watch, she gets into the other car and drives away as well.

Damon glared at Caroline like it was her fault that Tyler triggered his curse, "As long as you got rid of the body the right way. I don't care. So just please tell me you did that." Damon groans before taking a swig from his bourbon.

"I'm blonde not stupid Damon. I got rid of it perfectly." Caroline answers, just as snobby as Damon.

Before Caroline leaves, Damon opens his mouth to speak again. "Also, you can't be with him anymore. You need to keep your distance, he's a werewolf now and the bite is fatal to vampires. One accident can cause you your life." Damon tells her and Caroline closes her eyes and absorbs his words for a moment before turning back around to face him again.

"I know. I promise you I'll keep my distance." Is all she says before walking out of the Salvatore house and getting in her car, driving to school.

When she finally arrives at school, she is greeted by Stefan. "Hey." She says way to happily for someone who just hid a dead body the night before.

Stefan manages to smile at her, while he has the same sad look on his face. "What's wrong with you?" Caroline asks as they make their way into the school.

"I asked Elena if she wanted us to be together last night, now that Katherine is gone and all, but she said it wasn't safe yet." Stefan confesses and Caroline gives him a tight lipped smile. "Maybe it's for the best." Is all she can manage to say before Jeremy and Matt walk up to them.

"If my sister sleeps at your house, tell her to let me know so I don't freak out. Yeah?" Jeremy jokes and Stefan stares at him confused, "What are you talking about?" Stefan asks the younger Gilbert and Jeremy furrows his eyebrows.

"Elena didn't come home last night. I thought she was with you." Jeremy tells him and Stefan begins to feel himself panic, before he walks out of the school he turns to Matt.

"Maria went home with you last night.. right?" He asks hurriedly and Matt shakes his head, "She said she was going to wait for you and Damon at the boarding house. Did she not do that?" Matt asks quickly, worry quickly filling him.

"Nope." Is all Stefan says before he makes his way back out of the school, the other teenagers watching him.

Once Stefan arrives back home, Damon is sitting on the couch, reading as he drank his bourbon. Something he commonly did.

"Elena and Maria are missing." Stefan states and Damon immediately puts his drink down and closes the book, "Missing how?" Damon asks as Stefan paces the living room.

"Meaning that Elena didn't go home last night and she clearly wasn't here, and Maria wasn't with Matt last night but she clearly isn't here either!" Stefan speaks, slightly raising his voice.
