Beth's POV

My neck was sore when I woke up, but that was the least of my problems. A fire poker was pushed into my chest, and the chains that tied around me made it impossible to move.

"Beth.. hey.. wake up baby." I hear someone say, I try to shake away the groggy feeling from having my neck snapped, that was after all the first time that ever happened to me.

I finally focus on what's going on but the pain in my chest makes it practically impossible.

"Damon.." I groan out.

Beside me Damon sat in the same situation, his attention seemed to be solely focused on me though.

"Stefan!" Damon yelled, I looked down at my hands to see my daylight ring gone, but I found it placed on the floor in front of us, next to Damon's.

Stefan finally walked around the corner, "What the hell happened to you?" He asked hurriedly, he attempted to reach for the poker in Damon's chest but Damon shook his head. "Get Beth out first."

Stefan nodded and pulled the poker out of my chest, I couldn't help but let out a few groans at the pain. My chest started healing as Stefan ripped off the chains that held me down, once I was free he did the same for Damon.

"She needs blood." Damon told Stefan, Stefan nodded and left the room.

"Who the hell did this?" Stefan asked a moment later when he came back with a few blood bags.

I finish mine just in time to answer, "Mason Lockwood."

They both turn their heads to look at me like I was crazy, "I killed Mason Lockwood." Damon replied and I didn't have a chance to ask why, before Damon stands up, "But I think you're right, the same way we were tied up was the same way I killed him. We need to go see Bonnie."

---

After I changed my clothes and took a much needed shower that Damon decided to join, we were on our way to find Bonnie. Elena had texted him her whereabouts and we were off.

We pulled up to where Bonnie and Caroline sat on a bench, "Just the witch I was looking for, we have a problem."

Bonnie raised her eyebrows at Damon's words, "And what problem would that be?"

"I'm pretty sure Mason Lockwood snapped both of our necks, tied us to a chair and then shoved fire pokers into our chests." Damon told her and Bonnie looked surprised.

"How could you be sure it was Mason?"

Damon shrugged, "Beth saw him and that happened to be the exact way I killed him."

Bonnie let out what seemed to be a stressed sigh but nodded, "I'll try to figure out what's going on."

I gave her a small smile and she returned it, although hers didn't seem to be so genuine. Damon drove away again after that.

We didn't drive much longer, he turned to park outside of the grill, "I don't know about you but I could use a drink." I let out a laugh at his words but agreed with him.

Damon's phone ringing stops us from getting out of his car, "Stefan." He mutters when he answers.

"Yeah, okay. How are we supposed to get her? Don't tell me you call-" Damon pauses for a moment and then let's out a groan, "Fine. But if she threatens any hair on Maria or Beth's head she's dead. Got it?" He hung up after that.

"Stefan said he's able to see his dead friend Lexi, she claims she can help Maria turn her humanity back on."

I nod at his words, ignoring the dead part of it. Surprisingly it's been easy adjusting to the supernatural world.
