Maria's POV

Rebekah wanted to go shopping, which only made sense. I was more than happy to help her, I felt like I needed to catch up with her and fill her in on what happened to me while she was gone and I did exactly like that.

I told her about how I was Katherine, what happened when I went to Mystic Falls with my brothers and I told her about Matt and Jeremy. She was quite shocked, she mentioned that "It's weird to hear you being with anyone but Niklaus" I chose to ignore that certain comment.

We were currently in some random store that blasted music, Klaus and Stefan were sitting on two sofa's waiting, they were here because Rebekah wanted their opinion too.

I sipped on my champagne and looked through the clothes, I was given the job to pick out the nicest ones that fit in with today's style. To be honest, I didn't have much of my own style, Katherine heavily influenced it, so it was basically the same as hers now.

While looking at the shoes, I spotted a familiar brunette, speaking of the damn devil. I made eye contact with her through the window, she raised her eyebrows and nodded for me to go see her. I looked back at Klaus and Stefan. Klaus eyes were focused on me, they always seemed to be. I couldn't get out of his sight even if I tried, but because he only seemed to look at me, it meant Stefan could go without being noticed.

"Stefan, come look at this." I say, and Stefan let's out a sigh, whereas Klaus chuckles.

I hold up a random pair of red heels, he walks over and looks down at it. "Eh, a bit tall."

I make eye contact and glance out the window, he follows my gaze and stares Katherine down. She stood there, watching us both before walking off down the street.

Stefan coughs, "I think I'm going to go get a real drink." He mutters and Klaus doesn't bother to say anything, Stefan walks out of the store.

I walk back over to the dressing room and place the heels on the floor by it, so Rebekah can grab it once she's done changing. I sit beside Klaus where Stefan was just sitting and he looks at me surprised.

"Have you had time to think?" He asks, his voice low. I shrug, "No. Not really."

"It's been a day already."

"Yeah, exactly. It's been 24 hours, that's nearly not enough time to think about something that happened over 90 years ago." I reply, just as bitter as him.

Over the past 24 hours, I haven't been scared of Klaus. I was angry, but I didn't fear for my life as I did before I remembered. Although I felt nothing but anger towards him right now, I knew I'd be safe with him. I haven't let myself fall back into all those feelings, not yet, I couldn't. Matt and Elena's lives were still in jeopardy.

Stefan hasn't said anything about it, I'm sure he felt weird too, seeing as he and Rebekah were just as hot for each other. I didn't think he had any current feelings for the blonde though, him and Elena were an epic love after all.

Klaus continued to stare at me, and I was getting bored of it.

"Why don't you take a picture, it'll last longer." I mumble before sipping on my champagne, he lets out a chuckle. "You've always been cheeky, haven't you?"

I don't answer him because Rebekah rips open the curtain, wearing a short black dress.

"There has to be more to this dress."

She has a frown on her face, but I grin as I see her. "You look so good." I tell her and she only frowns deeper, "So woman in the 21st century dress like prostitutes then?"
