Maria's POV

For the past three days I've managed to stay inside, keeping Matt with me. For the past three days I've had more fun then I probably did in the last fifty years.

I didn't want drama, I always dealt with it when I was Katherine. But she's locked in a tomb and here I am waking up beside an attractive guy with incredibly blue eyes. Whatever Damon and Stefan had planned when Klaus came was up to them, I would get onboard with it. I just wanted to relax and feel somewhat normal again, just for awhile.

"Are you watching me sleep?" He asks without opening his eyes and I laugh, "Maybe." I reply casually.

"Creepy." He mumbles with a grin on his face.

"Wanna maybe go outside today?" I ask and he sits up and looks at me, "Hey, you're the one who insisted we get to know each other more and somehow that meant we shack up for 72 hours." He jokes and I let out another laugh, "You didn't seem to mind much." I comment as I stand up from the bed, the blanket falls from my body.

"How could I mind when you're naked.." He says in a low voice and I can already tell what he was trying to do by the tone of his voice, I scoff before grabbing his shirt and throwing it on quickly.

"Not today. We're going out." I reply and turn to face him, he gives me a pout and it doesn't take much for me to cave in, "Fine. But this afternoon, we're going out for sure." I instantly give in, plus he didn't even need to say anything, I already knew we weren't going to leave the bed until later in the day, I really didn't need much convincing.

I happily crawl back into bed and straddle him, "And that's why I lo-like you." Matt stutters, I don't have time to say anything before his lips are on mine and I deepen the kiss, his mistaken words gone from my brain in the a second.

"Well look who it is.." Damon speaks as I walk into the boarding house with Matt following in behind me, "I texted you."

He scoffs at my words, "Yeah but you still should have been here. We found some things out, some things that could save both you and Elena's life."

I let out a sigh and face Matt, "How about I let you deal with the supernatural stuff, I was gonna go see Tyler anyway." I nod slowly at his words, I pucker my lips and he chuckles before leaning in and giving me a swift kiss.

I wasn't surprised to hear Damon make a gagging noise in the background, Matt leaves right after and I turn to face my older brother.

"I still don't get what you see in him." Damon mutters, "Don't start. You have no right to judge my love life when you're in love with Stefan's girlfriend." I fire back and he just rolls his eyes.

"So, what have you learned?" I ask as I sit on the couch and put my feet on the coffee table. "Rose told us a bit, but the moonstone is what we need. We went to go talk to Katherine."

I groan at his words, "And that was smart?" I ask, he shrugs, "She said she'd give us the moonstone only if we got her out of the tomb."

"Hm. How do you plan on getting her out?"

"We have a witch. But then we'll also have Bonnie de-spell the Stone, so Klaus won't have any reason to need it." Damon answers with a smirk on his face, "And Bonnie is strong enough for that?"

He thinks about it for a second before shrugging, "She's our only hope. So I'm praying she is."

It's quiet for a moment, before Elena and Stefan walk through the door. They both look at me and Elena gives me a small nod, which I return.
