Until We Meet Again

     We had been flying for most of the day when Mala's Island came into view, Asta was fast asleep against me when i began to shake her. "Asta wake up we are almost to Mala's Island." I said softly, she shot awake "Mala!?" she looked forward to see her Island, causing me to laugh. as we started closing in "alright Toothless let them know its us." I patted him on the head and pulled Asta back closer to me just as toothless let out a huge rawer, we flew into the Island and the Village came into view we landed near Mala and Throck, I hopped off Toothless and Grabbed Asta and put her on the ground, "Queen Mala!!" Asta shouted and ran towards her, "why isn't it little Asta Haddock, home to her father safe and sound. come here you!" Mala bent down and held out her arms for Asta and picked her up embracing her into a tight hug. "Chief Hiccup! we got your terror mail just a few hours ago. We are pleased to have you and your families here." Throck exclaimed. I smiled and nodded, I grabbed Astrid's hand and pulled her along with me up to Mala and Throck, "well I also got word there's a wedding soon as well so we might just have to stay a few days for that." I laughed with Mala and Throck. "Yes our wedding is in a couple days, I'm Happy you wish to attend." Mala and Throck looked at each other and smiled, "Well may I introduce to you, my girlfriend Astrid Hofferson." I gestured to Astrid and she bowed her head a little "hello" Astrid greeted, "It's nice to finally meet you Astrid, Hiccup talked about you a lot even as a married man." Mala laughed, "I am Queen Mala, and this is my soon-to-be King, Throck." Throck bowed his head. "Is this the girl you were talking about...Oomph!" Mala had cut Throck off with a good jab to the gut "don't spoil it!" she growled at him, I looked over at Astrid and laughed her face was so twisted with confusion. "don't worry about it Astrid." I said as I put my hand on her back. "Look! The great protector! Daddy  can I go see him?" Asta squealed in excitement "Only if someones with you." I answered, Mala put her down and she grabbed Throck's hand "will you come with me Throck?" just the sound of her voice you could tell she was using those big green eyes, "of course! I'll even tell you some new stories about our great protector." Throck walked hand and hand with Asta over to the Eruptadon, "Astrid dear could you come help me?" I heard my mother call, "Looks like I'm being called I'll see you... when ever your mother decides she's done with me." Astrid laughed and gave me a quick peck on the cheek before leaving, as soon as she was out of ear shot Mala started Talking, "walk with me." She began, "so I would like to know when this proposal will happen, and your plan?" Mala asked, I laughed at her,  "Well Mala actually I don't really know, just when it feels...right I guess." i answered her, she nodded at me "that makes since... Throck didn't know how to propose to me but he figured it out, he said the same thing. 'when it felt right'." Mala smiled,

"well do you have a ring?" she asked after awhile, the question stopped me dead in my tracks, "no, I wan't to make one. I don't have a specific gems I'm looking for." i told her. "maybe i can help with that. what's are the gems." Mala asked, I looked back at Astrid who was still with mom. "an Emerald, Opal, and diamond. I already have a diamond that my mother gave to me." I Told her, Mala nodded "We have Loads of Emeralds here, as for Opals we don't have that those are very rare. I do believe you should ask your father about those I know most Opal Gems where taken into his hands for something." Mala informed me. i nodded "Thank you Mala. I'll go talk to my dad." Mala nodded I took off for my father who was near Astrid "uh, Dad can I talk to you for a minute. Privately." I said as I grabbed his arm dad nodded  and we walked a good distance away from Astrid and mom, "so what is it son?" dad crossed his arms and gave me his signature questioning look. "I'm looking for a specific Gem, an Opal. for something." i giggled awkwardly "what's this 'something' your making?" he asked as he raised an eyebrow, "well...uh...It's...um... ha ha" I laughed awkwardly  as I rubbed the back of my head. "your making a ring aren't you?" I looked up at dad and he had a smirk on his face "yes I am. I'm gonna propose to Astrid I just don't know when but I will." i said, my dad laughed at me. "here son." dad pulled out an Opal gem from a hidden pocket. "I was going to use this years ago for If i had a daughter and get a necklace made. but for my son to use it In a ring one day is an equal gift. I just held onto it for luck." dad handed me the Opal gem I pulled out the diamond out of my pocket under my armor. "now all I need is an Emerald." i smiled, dad placed his hand on my shoulder and nodded "better get started on that ring band." i took off for the forge on the Island, it took a couple minuets before I found it "Chief Hiccup! what do I owe the honor of your visit to the forge?" The Blacksmith asked "just if I can use your forge for a bit and some silver." i answered him, he nodded "may I ask what your making Chief?" he asked as he brought out a few Chunks of silver and laid them down on the table.  "an engagement ring." I answered him, he gave me a smile. "Anything I can do to help?" he asked me, I looked at the window. "The Woman i'm proposing to, pure blond hair in a single braid and ocean blue eyes. If she comes I need to stay out of sight." I told him, he nodded and turned to the window, "I can cover ya with a drape." he said as he went to the window and bent to get a long cloth on a shelf. I nodded "perfect." and he got started on hanging the cloth I got started on the ring.
