I Ran Away

Astrids pov
Ingrid and I have been on dragons edge for two days now dragons would come and healed ones would go. I've been worried sick about hiccup, the past couple of days "Astrid all the ships are coming in to dock!" I heard Ingrid yell I headed to the docks with Stormfly on my tail. As soon as we got to the docks I noticed a couple of dragons as I was helping everyone get the wounded to one of the huts I heard someone call my name, when I turned around it was Thraya, she had a panicked look on her face and there, an arm wrapped around her shoulder, and the love of my life dropped down, out cold, and bloody. I panicked and ran over to them taking hiccups other arm around my shoulder and getting him to his hut, once we were inside the gang, dragon riders and hiccups parents came in. "Thraya grab some water! Heather get bandages, ruff tuff you go help get the wounded to the safe house, Snotlout go help Ingrid with the dragons, Erit you too." I started handing out orders they all obeyed Thraya came back when I was done. "I need you to stay here with me, I'm gonna need your help." She nodded in response "Val and I are gonna go tend to the berkians and outcast." Stoick said, I nodded and got to work I had a towel on hiccups wound that was located on his abdomen. "We need to get his armor, and shirt off." Thraya nodded. As I kept pressure on the wound and Thraya had his armor off he started to stir. Thraya looked at me with panick. "It's okay, can you come keep the pressure on here so I can keep him calm." She nodded, as soon as she had pressure on hiccups wound he woke up and started to breath heavily, "hiccup I need you to calm down and stay still." Hiccup looked at me and calmed down a little. I grabbed the water and moved it closer to the wound "okay I still need to get his shirt off." I said to Thraya's he nodded I started moving his shirt up, Thraya had lifted off the wound and as quick as I could got the shirt over the wound and continued taking it off. Hiccup has been wincing and moaning this whole time. And at last I finally got his shirt off, I tossed it on the floor and got back to working on his wound. "Hiccup, I'm so sorry but this next hour or so is gonna be horrible." I said looking at him, I was worried, panicked even. "It's okay. Astrid." He inhaled deeply "do what. you need to. Mi'lady." He took another deep breath. I soaked a cloth with water "first we need to clean the wound and stop the bleeding." I told Thraya she nodded. She still pushed on the wound as I cleaned around where the cloth was then I had her gently lift her hands and stared cleaning around it. As she lifted at one point Hiccup let out a growl she stopped moving an looked at me "it's okay. He's okay it's just hurting him a bit." I said to her, she continued what she was doing and I continued. After awhile I finished and the bleeding stopped "get some rubbing alcohol so I can disinfect it to keep it from infection, and bring the  bandages and bandage wrap." I said to Thraya she nodded and went to get the stuff. I had a few cloths over the wound for now, I sat on the bed next to hiccup "are you doing okay?"  I asked him as I lightly brushed his  sweat soaked hair off his forehead.  "Yeah it just hurts, really bad. But I'll be okay." He breathed out.  "When Thraya gets back I'll have to stick it up so it can heal properly then I'll disinfect it again and put the bandages on. Do you want something so you don't have to feel me doing the stitches?" I asked him. He nodded quickly "and when you do that you should tell Thraya to leave, she doesn't do well with this part." I nodded my head and started looking for the pain killers and something to numb the what's coming. Once I found what I needed and grabbed the needle and stitching thread, Thraya came in I payed what I had down and the handed me the bandages and the wrap which I set of to the side. I gave hiccup the medicine to numb him and he gladly took it. "You should go check on the others, I just need to do his stitches, clean, and bandages and he'll be done." I told Thraya. She's been mostly silent till now, she walked over to Hiccup and leaded over to hug him. "You need to stop hurting yourself so I don't lose the only other family I have left." She said. That caught me off guard and Mae me tear up a bit. "I know, but you'll always still have mom, and get to know dad, he's not that bad." He said with a small grin she nodded and left. I started getting the stitching thread on the needle. "It's nice to see you taking her in as your sister. Did she possibly change her name to Haddock?" I asked him. "Yeah she did. Her full name now in Thraya Trove Haddock, mom and I adopted her and her brother before he was killed." He answered me. I smiled at that, "that's very sweet of you."I said with a smile. "You numb year?" I said as I poked near his wound. "Yep, didn't even feel that" I nodded. "Ready?" I asked, he took a deep breath and nodded.

After stitching up the wound, and cleaning it up again I started helping him slowly sit up so I can get the bandage wrap around his torso, I had but the bandage on and gone around his torso a few times when hiccups family walked in. "How are you doing son?" His dad asked. Hiccup gave him a thumbs up. His mom pulled up a chair and rubbed his arm a bit. After a bit I was finally finished and helped him lay back down. I grabbed the pain killers "here take one of these three times a day until the pain stops. You need to rest as much as you can, limit your walking, no flying or fighting. Drink lots of water, and I'll come in to change your bandages every morning and every night. Got it?" I asked he nodded but that's when I noticed all the scars on his back and chest, they were whip marks. I shook my head a bit and stood up from sitting on the bed. I gathered all the stuff to go clean it. "I'll leave you guys alone to talk. I'll be back later to check up on you." I said hiccup nodded "Thank you Astrid, I don't know how I've lived without you this long." hiccup said as I got to the door, I blushed and gave a sweet smile to him and left the family to themselves. I guess I'll ask later about what happened at the sanctuary.

Hey Dragon Riders, so today is band competition day yay -_- , don't get me wrong I LOVE band but just not concert band. Especially since I was at work till a little past midnight last night because and Anonymous friend of mine didn't count everything. But I hope y'all enjoy this chapter!
