Dragons peak

The next day I woke up a couple hours before dawn "hey toothless, wanna go for an extra early flight and do a water scout from dragon's peak?" I asked, I got a low grumble letting me know that he wanted to go. So I got out of bed and walked down stairs I went to the armor table and put my armor on that's when I heard someone moving behind me I turned around and saw my dad deep in thought. "Are you okay, dad?" I asked him, he turned and looked at me "I was thinking about last night, about what you said about your 'last action' and I just wanted to let you know that whatever it is, I'm here for you son." I nodded, and looked at toothless who was staring at me then back at my father "you know dad, mom said that same thing and she freaked out, and now when I'm alone with her, she tries so hard to hide it but, I can see that she's scared of me and she doesn't know what to do with what I've done, So I'm not going to tell you I'm sorry but some things need to stay a secret." He nodded I put my helmet on and opened the door "from one Chief to another son, our darkest and deepest secrets will eat us from the inside out until we finally break." I nodded and walked out with toothless behind me.

As i was flying with toothless I noticed Astrid at the entrance of the cave to the sanctuary so I decided to land and see if she wanted to come to Dragon's Peak with me. "Good morning milady" I said to her with a smile, she gave a smile back. "Good morning Hiccup. What're you up to?" she asked I rubbed the back of my neck then said "oh just flying toothless, I wanted to, Yya know, ask you if you wanted to join me on Dragon's Peak to scout the water?" I asked her she giggle and nodded her head. I got onto toothless and held out my hand to help her on "well this looks familiar, except we're older and we're not hundreds of feet off the ground." I laughed at her and she took my hand and hopped on behind me "hold on tight milady" I said and grabbed onto the handles of the saddle, her grip around me tightened remembering the first time she rode on toothless 6 years ago. We took off, we were in the sky for a few seconds when I felt her grip loosen around my torso I looked behind me to make sure she was alright but she was just looking around. "I forgot how beautiful and amazing this was, I wish I had a dragon I would do this all the time." She said, then and idea hit me. "Astrid you are a genius!" I exclaimed, I felt her jump, I guess I scared her oops, "what am I a genius about?" She asked, I looked behind me and smiled at her then looked back at the sky "dragons! You guys ride dragons! It's perfect I can teach you all everything you need to know about the dragon you choose and more! It will help defend the sanctuary!" I practically yelled in happiness, I heard her laugh "it sounds perfect Hiccup, except shouldn't we run that by your father first." I laughed a bit, as we were approaching Dragons Peak I said "my island, my rules." Then Turned and smiled at her she shook her head with a grin on her face, then Toothless landed on the ground. I hopped off and offered a hand for Astrid and she took it.
I took the spy glass out of my bag on toothless's and stood on the edge looking at the ship positions "so hiccup, about last night..." Astrid started off I looked at her a bit confused "what about last night?" I asked her she shrugged her shoulders and walked up next to me, I handed her the spy glass and she took it "you see the ship with the triple sail with the three insignia's?" She nodded her head "that's the main ship with Dagur, Drago, and Viggo Grimborn... If only I could get my hands on him..." I growled his name, he is dangerously smart, my mother thought my plans were smart but as long as he's around this sanctuary is in so much trouble unless I can think like him and move around his plan. "Woah there Hiccup, I can tell you have bad blood with this guy but no need to get your head wrapped up in it." Astrid said putting a hand on my shoulder. Wait she didn't ask who he was "you know him, don't you." I stated she looked at me in a bit of a shock. "You didn't ask who he was, and knowing you if you didn't know him you would have asked." She slowly took her hand off my shoulder "I do know him, but back then he wasn't like this, he was nice and kind." She said looking away from me "you must of had a special place with him because he's always been a monster, he's always been a dragon-napper and a killer." I said a little frustrated at what he's done. "And I realized that to late. I threatened to kill him if he didn't leave Berk alone and those who belong." I giggled and looked at her "when I found out what he does I couldn't help but think how much I was betraying you and threw him off the island, since I had the power to do that." She was looking at me "betraying me?" I asked her she bit her lip and giggled "just because you weren't around doesn't mean I didn't have feelings for you back then too." She said looking away, I saw her blush and I gave her a smile.
I walked up in front of her and gently took her hand, she looked at our hands and smiled I used my other hand to move her bangs out of her eyes a bit and rested my hand on her cheek and I blushed a bit "You known Astrid I thought I was going to miss Gobber the most but really it was you I missed. Your smile, your laugh, those blue eyes, your voice, and oddly your violent ways of communication." She laughed at me and started blushing. "And I didn't realize how much I loved you until I left. But apart of me wants to keep you away because of the things that I've done, and the things that have happened to me, I'm not the same person I was all those years ago." I let go of her hand and looked at the water. "And I didn't realize how much I loved you till you left either, I mean I was a broken hearted crying mess for days, your father tried to get me out of my house but I always refused, but What did they do to you Hiccup? Please tell me so I can help you." She said gesturing to the main ship in the distance "I've been kidnapped many times, and every time I was hung in a steaming room for days, whipped, stabbed, cut, beaten, and threatened. Many of my friends were killed in front of me, but one was a brothers do they pushed my limits but what I did is far worse than what they did to me." I told her she looked at me and I at her "can I see? The scars?" She asked I looked over at her, I nodded "let's head to my place first so I can report into my mother. She nodded and we got on toothless.
Time skip
Astrid and I finished talking to mom, I took my armor off and put it on the usual table and walked upstairs with Astrid behind me, my mother had just left to the sanctuary. Once upstairs I shut the door behind me when I turned around Astrid was sitting on my bed. "Nobody knows about this but you, Thraya, and my mother so you can't tell anyone, okay?" I asked her she nodded "your secrets are safe with me Hiccup." She said with a small smile. I stood closer to her and put my hand behind my head and grabbed my shirt, I took a deep breath and quickly pulled my shirt off and tossed it off to the side, I looked at her and her eyes were wide, she stood up and started to trace her fingers against every scar even the ones that were still a bit sensitive, she was circling around me taking in every detail. "Oh Hiccup" I heard her say next to me I looked over at her and saw the sorrow and worry in her eyes. That's when I realized, I could tell her, could I tell her? Would she still love me if she found out what I've done? Would she see me as a monster? Come on hiccup just tell her if she truly loves you she will help with the burdin. Won't she? "why are you looking at me like that?" She asked me i opened my mouth but then closed it with a click, she was now standing in front of me and had her hands on my chest.
"I'm debating." I said finally she gave me a funny look "debating what?" She asked wrapping her arms around my shirtless torso causing me to blush. "If I should tell you what I did to them." I said quietly she just looked at me "you can if you want Hiccup. Whatever it is I'm here for you, and if it's as bad as you say I promise I'll keep you from making the same mistake again, and I will help you carry the burden." She said I fully relaxed. I finally felt like I could tell her so here it goes. "After Goustov was killed I went on a rampage, he was important to me and it's like everything went red. That evening I left on toothless and I... I killed the people they loved and that was close to them...when I finally realized what I did I took off. But before I could go Viggo's brother and father tried to stop me and I killed them both without even hesitating... To this day I wish I could go back and fix it all... But I can't so now it's either I die or they do...I'm sorry Astrid..." I said removing her arms from my torso and sitting down on my bed, soon I felt her sit behind me I was playing with my fur blanket on my bed, i felt her hand on my bare back rubbing it, after awhile she spoke "you don't have to apologize Hiccup, if I was in your position I would have done the same thing if no one held me back. I don't see you any different than who you are, and I still love you all the same. I'm still here for you Hiccup." She kissed me on the cheek, I let out a deep breath and turned around, I put my hand on her cheek and gave her a small peck on the lips "thank you for not leaving me alone." I said to her I leaned on her shoulder and kissed her neck making her giggle, Then I pushed her over on her side making her laugh. It's already been a long day and I was a bit tired I turned onto my back. "I'm tired" I said to Astrid who is now laying on my chest cuddled up to me, he giggled "me too. I think we woke up to early." She said I laughed and put my right hand on her back and used my left hand to stroke her hair "do you wanna stay here tonight with me?" I asked her and looked down at her she looked up at me and smiled "I'd love to if you wouldn't mind." She said I smiled at her "of course I don't mind I just asked you silly." I started tickling her, she started wiggling and laughing "stop hiccup stop!" She said between laughs.
"Hiccup everyone is waiting for you outside the house!" Astrid groaned I giggled and kissed her forehead. I got up and grabbed my shirt and put it on, Astrid was already down stairs holding my armor, she helped me put it on. "Wait I need to ask you something!" Astrid looked at me she looked startled, my bad. I grabbed her hand and kissed her cheek "after 6 years of waiting to tell you how much I love you I want to ask if you would do me the honor of being my Girlfriend?" I asked with be biggest smile on my face she laughed "of course" she said I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her on the lips. I pulled her to the door and we stepped out "who's ready to chose a dragon!" I exclaimed.

So it took me ALL day but I did it while dealing with a cranky two year old who thinks saying no, stop and arguing with you all the time is fun, but it's irratating.
