Hiccups pov:
last night was the first night i got a great night sleep, Astrid by my side and at some point of the night Asta came in and crawled in bed with us, she said she had a nightmare so we just let her sleep with us. but this mornuing i woke up to Asta cuddling with Astrid with a smile on her face, that made me really happy. i slowly got up careful to not disturb the girls and headed down the stairs to make breakfast for them. when i got down there i pulled out some eggs and yak bacon, i started on the eggs when I heard tiny footsteps "Morning sweety" I said when Asta hugged my leg. "Morning daddy." I handed her three plates "go set the table please." I told her she took the plates and walked to the table, soon enough Astrid walked down. "Good morning Astrid!" Asta yelled causing me to knock over the cups I turned around to Astrid lifting Asta up and giving her a hug the sight made me smile, it's like Asta has a mother again and it felt great. I turned back to the food when Asta started to giggle, I put everything on a plate and took it to the table, "alright you two we have a big day ahead of us so eat up, while I get water." I said Asta dropped from Astrid's arms and climbed into a chair as I grabbed the cups "let me." Astrid said as she took the cups from me, I gave her a quick peck on the cheek and sat down next to my daughter putting food on her plate and Astrids then mine. Astrid quickly came back with the waters and placed them on the table then Astrid sat across from us. As we sat their talking and goofing around my dad walked in "morning dad" I greeted, he nodded "morning Cheif!" Astrid greeted. "Oh-ho! Astrid how often do i need to tell you, call me Stoick not Chief" my father and I laughed, Astrid just shrugged. "So who's ready to go home to Berk?!" My father asked excitedly. I just shrugged while Asta nearly jumped out of her seat in excitement. "Well I know I am! My parents should be home by now and I haven't seen them in months!" Astrid exclaimed. "Can I meet Astrids parents, daddy?" Asta asked pulling on the sleeve of my tunic. I looked at her then at Astrid "I guess, if Astrids alright with it." I answered she looked at Astrid "of course it's alright with me." I nodded while Asta squealed.

We're half way to my old home and Asta was in front of me on toothless bouncing in excitement. She couldn't wait to see where I grew up, me on the other hand I could live without going back but I do admit I'm excited to see gobber and the old place in the forge that was mine. I let out a big sigh and layer back on toothless "what's wrong daddy?" Asta asked "nothing sweetheart" see looked at me with those big green eyes of hers. "Asta sweety in fine don't worry" I Said as I sat up and wrapped my arms around her.

I watched as hiccup wrapped his arms around his daughter. I knew he didn't want to come back because of his past, but we get along with dragons now just haven't been riding them till a few days ago. "Berk in View!" I heard gobber yell. I took my eyes off hiccup and Asta and looked past Thraya to the view. I missed home so much. "You know hiccup said he'd never return here because he had nothing here to live for. But the way he looks at you. I would think he just forgot what he was living for, he left Berk and gained, us, a wife, and a child. But lately he seemed to have lost it again after Goustov, and Evealn, until he heard your name." Thraya explained to me. I nodded it makes since after all hiccup was wrongly treated on Berk for years, but him leaving had effected all of us, the Chief lost his only son, and the people lost their future Chief, but it hit Gobber the most, hiccup was like a son to him. "Berk in view!" Thraya said excitedly my head shot up, and within a few minuets we landed their standing in front of us was the whole village and my parents! i jumped off Thraya's dragon and ran to them.Hiccups pov.
unlike everyone else i slowly got off Toothless, Asta melting into my chest. she wasn't use to so many people, It's a good thing i'm having her take over the sanctuary. If i don't end up having a child with Astrid then, and only then, will i let Asta be heir to Berk. i do admit I miss being here, i miss the forge, the constant happy celebrations, and holidays. "Everyone! Can I have your attention!" my Father boomed. the crowed of villagers quieted instantly. "It is an honor to welcome home two of the most unforgettable people in my life, My Wife Valka, and my son Hiccup, along with our Adopted child Thraya!" my father yelled in happiness. Asta looked up at me and raised her arms for me to pick her up. my dad getting ready to introduce Asta but i shook my head to let him know it wasn't the right time. he instantly closed it. I began to walk through the crowed earning pats of welcome and questioning faces's at Asta. i just kept walking, and i didn't stop until i got to my old house i walked in and set her down. "I didn't like that daddy." she said shyly. I got down on my knees and looked her in the eyes "I know, i grew up with it but you didn't but that's why I'm use to it. but you don't need to worry about them, just the sanctuary remember?" i asked her, she nodded and wrapped her small arms around my neck i hugged her back. "everything's gonna be okay." i hugged my baby girl tighter "I promise."

when dad came home a few hours after i ran through the crowed with Asta, he informed me there is to be a party at the hall celebrating our return home. Mother was excited, I on the other hand had a child that is a nervous wreck around giant groups of people due to the fact she was raised in a small group, and being the father i am, I started trowing out excuses to my dad on why Asta and I couldn't go, yet here we are in the Great Hall, Asta attached to my leg, and I attached to a wall. like my Daughter, I am not very fond of big crowds, as a matter of fact i have just remembered why I hate parties, their full of drunk vikings who have nothing better to talk about than who's child is better, whom is stronger, and out of control children. This is also the reason i stayed away After Asta was born i didn't want her to grow up among drunk viking, and vikings with excessive ranking sarcasm. "Hiccup! why are you against a wall? you need to get out here and talk to people!" mom informed me. I just kept my same blank stare i had to begin with. "is everything okay Hiccup?" Astrid walked up and asked me. "actually it's past Asta's bedtime, I need to get her to bed." i unlatched Asta's arms off my leg and picked her up "i'll come with you, i'm getting tired myself." Astrid informed i just nodded and Astrid followed me out, and don't think i didn't notice the questioning stares as we left the hall.
Soon enough we arrived to my house and walked upstairs, laying Asta on the bed only to realize somewhere between here and the Great Hall and here she had passed out, so i just pulled the furs up to her shoulders and let her sleep. i put some extra furs on the floor one to lay on one to keep us warm and placed two pillows, Astrid had already taken off her Armor as she lied down i took my armor off and placed it at the end of the bed crawling under the furs and lying beside Astrid, softly draping my arm over her waist. "she'll get into the swing of things Hiccup, it just takes time." Astrid said. i let out a great sigh, "I know." I pulled Astrid closer to me, taking in her sent causing me to quickly fall into sleep.
