I currently sat on a stool eating some waffles. No I hadn't made them, they were reheated from the freezer. I may be a girl but I can't cook everything.
There was a glass of milk to the left of the plate while on the right there's a plate full of fruit. As you can tell I'm in love with fruit. When I was a kid, when in America, I used to eat fruit breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as a snack, so I used to believe that I was a fox or something cause foxes eat fruits.
Finishing up the last waffle I started eating the fruits. While eating a strawberry, from the corner of my brown eye, I saw movement. Glancing up Bucky and Steve both came into the rooms, both seeming sleepy with their eyes still a bit closed but at least they didn't bump into anything.
"Morin' boys," I greeted to them as they both sat across from me at the counter. "How was your sleep?"
"Nice," Bucky said as Steve held my free hand.
"How are you?" The blonde Soldier said in a soft tone.
"I'm fine," and I actually am. I got all the weight off my shoulders and now I feel fine. "Thanks for asking."
"Well we do need you to be happy and all," Bucky said as a quick smile formed.
"Now do you boys want something to eat? Like I can make some bomb cereal," both of them chuckled a bit as I smiled. "Seriously though. Y'all want to eat anything?" I was already getting up from my stool.
"Whatcha got?" Bucky asked.
"I have cereal, pop tarts, cookies, lots of fruits, bread, peanut butter and jelly, and many of other things. How do you feel 'bout pancakes?" I was already getting the pan and ingredients ready so they can't really deny my offer.
"Sure," they both said at once.
"Would you like some help?" Steve asked getting up from his seat but I was quick to push him back down before attending the stove once more.
"Thanks but no thanks," from the corner of my light blue eye I could see them both smile as I started cooking.
There was some silence that hung in the air but it wasn't awkward nor did it not feel awkward. If anything it felt just right in the middle. Weird? Yes. But that's just how I can explain it.
"Can I ask you a question?" Bucky asked as I flipped the first pancake.
"Shoot."
"When you were back with... him," I knew he was trying to find a way to mention Leo without mentioning him.
Turning around I faced them both. "It's fine guys. Really. I'm over it." Both soldiers just nodded their heads as I turned back around to the pan.
"We weren't able to track you and Loki wasn't able to track you down as well but he was able to be a ghost to you." I rose an eyebrow while placing one pancake on a plate.
"Please do explain."
"He was able to be in the same room as you, see and hear everything but you couldn't," Bucky explained. "He was there when they placed you in that machine."
"We wanted to know if you gained any powers," Steve continued as I placed his plate of five pancakes. "Thank you."
"You are welcome," I answered before flipping two other pancakes. "And to answer your question, I did gain powers."
"Would you mind telling us what they are?" Bucky asked but then quickly added in, "If you're ready of course."
"Oh I'm fine talking about it," placing his five pancakes in front of him I grabbed two glasses of milk handing them each one.
