23|You're The Best

  Opening my eyes I found myself in my room. I was sleeping on my stomach with my right arm hanging off the bed. Wait what? How did I get here? Didn't...didn't I sleep on the couch? Flipping over and sitting up a note was on my night-stand.

  Leaning over I took hold of the note, flipping it open to somewhat neat hand writing.

Hey Gem you fell asleep on the couch so I brought you to bed. Also I was wondering if you might want to help me out on something, if so meet me in Lab #1

  Closing the note and placing it back on the nightstand I sat on my bed debating whether or not to help Tony. One side of me was saying, "no don't do it. It's just a way for him to get in your pants" while the other is saying, "do it. You said he was changing so give a chance to prove it". In the end though I went with the side that said I should help him out.

  Taking a quick shower I changed into waist high black ripped jeans, grey crop top, red and black flannel, and my lace up combat boots. My neck long hair was brush as well as the rest of me smelling nice and ready.

  Walking out of the bathroom I enter the kitchen grabbing a granola bar, packet of blueberries, and a banana. Those were placed on the counter as I got Haki's food ready as well as her water.

  "I'll be right back Haki," I called out to my female cheetah as she started digging into her food.

  Walking back into my room I searched around the walk-in closet before taking out the small black backpack. The blueberries and banana were placed inside while I had the granola bar in one hand. My phone my was in my back pocket.

  "All set," once more walking out of my room I made my way into the elevator only to be befuddled. "Where's lab one?"

  "Floor thirty-one Miss María," is it bad that I forgot that Jarvis was here to help?

  "Thank you Jarvis."

  "I live to serve," a smile formed on my face as the elevator went up two floors before opening once more to a pretty sweet looking lab.

  "Cool," I said as my right hand barley grazed the cool metal table that had blueprints and such on it. "Kuzco! Kuzco you in here!" A few seconds later his head pops around the corner.

  "Yay you came," he said strolling over to me.

  "Well I'm only giving you this chance because your changing. In a good way," that last part was added in quickly because I knew he was going to ask me if it was good or not. "Now what is it that you need?"

  "Well I have this plane that won't start up." I waited for him to continue but he never did.

  "That's it?"

  "That's it."

  "Tony you're a genius and a billionaire, surely you know how to fix up the plane."

  "Alright fine that's not why I brought you," rolling my eyes I took a bite out of the granola bar.

  "Then why did you bring me?"

  "Well I have to go to this meeting thing and I really want to bring someone along."

  "And that someone being me?"

  "Yeah. The two assassin are always on Shield missions, Capsicle and Red October wouldn't like my company anymore than now, Loki and Thor would be too loud and freaked out about everything, I don't even know much about Bat Dork and Arrowhead, Peter still has school, Bruce has work, that leaving you."

  "Do I have to go?" He shook his head.

  "You don't have to but it would be nice to have company." I thought about it while eating the second granola bar.
