It had already been one month and Killua was one of the most feared guys in the army. He had the intimidation of a Colonel and never spoke to anyone unless absolutely necessary.
He was even offered a higher up status but refused saying that it just wasn't for him. Everyone knew his name and how skilled he was, so they stayed away from the young boy, afraid of what would happen if they got on his bad side.
Friends were not a priority for Killua. The only person he occasionally spoke to was the Captain of his squad, Kurapika Kurta.
Kurapika was awarded his role of Captain due to his high intelligence and strategic mindset, and is usually calm in difficult situations.
Killua didn't have an intention of befriending Kurapika, but believed he was useful for giving him important intel or updates on current situations.
At this time, Killua had been in Kurpikas office, trying to gather more information.
"Killua it's about time we gather with our squad for training, I haven't gotten to really see what you can do yet." Kurapika said as he strode to the door. Killua followed behind, crossing his arms behind his head. "I've trained my whole life, I don't really need anymore." Kurapika picked up on the slight attitude in Killua's tone, but chose to ignore it. "Well there's always room for improvement, so get your uniform on and head to our squads training grounds; I'll be waiting."
Even more training didn't really intrigue Killua, but he definitely didn't want to be like Hisoka, a Lieutenant in the army like Killua's brother Illumi.
Hisoka didn't really seem to take his job seriously, but had the skill to even be a General, and he could've been one if he ever followed directions instead of being rebellious.
So taking this information in mind, Killua put on his uniform and started his walk to the training grounds. He past the barracks, offices, and cafeteria on his way, but slowed his pace when he noticed something in the infirmary.
He saw the top medic, Leorio Paladiknight; the best medic in the army who had a goofy personality but could also act extremely responsible if needed.
But Leorio wasn't who Killua had noticed first. Talking with Leorio was a boy who looked around Killua's age, this intrigued him. He wondered who the boy was and why he was here, but quickly pushed the thoughts from his mind, reminding himself that friends were not his goal.
Walking his original route, Killua finally arrived on the training grounds of his team. Kurapika greeted him upon his arrival but Killua waved it off, crossing his arms in the process. Kurapika was saddened by this, but smiled not too long after, excited to tell Killua the news he had. "We have a new member to our squad, and he's the same age as you Killua!" This caught the sharp eyed boy off guard and his eyes widened slightly. "....My age? He must be pretty damn talented if he got in."
"You can ask him yourself, he's coming over here right now." Kurapika pointed toward the base, at a boy who was running their way. He was smiling brightly and Killua recognized him as the boy he saw in the infirmary.
When he finally approached them, he extended a hand towards Killua. "Hi there! I'm Gon, Gon Freecss!"
