As Gon walked more into the desert in search of his friend, he eventually saw a a white ball of fluff in the distance. Upon closer inspection he realized it was just Killua's messy hair, but where was the rest of his body?
Once Gon finally reached the white fluff, all he saw was Killua's head, his eyes closed, which caused Gon to freak out.
"KILLUAAAAAAA!" Gon screamed as he fell to his knees in despair.
The blue eyed boy suddenly jolted up, his body emerging from the sand. "OI GON WHY ARE YOU SCREAMING LIKE THAT YOU IDIOT!?" Killua shouted back at his distressed friend.
Seeing the rest of Killua's body made Gon suddenly change from being distressed to confused. "But your head-...your body was-....what?"
An amused expression made it's way to Killua's face as he crossed his arms. "Did you know that it's colder under the sand?"
"No....I thought you had been decapitated!" Gon cried out which only caused Killua to laugh.
His laugh was music to Gon's ears and he was glad he was able to hear it.
They both sat on the ground and stared into the empty blue sky, enjoying each other's company.
"Hey Killua, I kinda wanted to ask a bit about your past, mainly how you got that arm of yours. Although, you don't have to share if you don't want to." Got said calmly, looking over at his friend.
Killua sighed and scratched the back of his head. "I figured I'd have to tell you sometime, so might as well just tell you now yeah?" Killua asked as he looked over at Gon who only nodded with curiosity.
"Okay well, ever since I was born I was harshly trained on how to fight. I have two older brothers, a younger sister, and a younger brother who are being trained as well, but for some reason my parents think I'm the best one of the bunch." Pausing for a second, Killua tried to come up with what to say next and Gon waited patiently.
"My folks are war veterans you see, and they want all of us to follow in their footsteps. So they trained my siblings and I. You're my first real friend actually, since I was not allowed to interact with people who weren't my family. It also didnt occur to me until I was headed off to the military that I didn't want to go at all but....I'm glad I did or else I wouldn't have met you." Stopping his story, Killua gave Gon a slight smile before continuing.
"And for my arm, it was caused by an unfortunate accident. My parents were training me to dodge bullets, as you are training for right now. But I.....I just wasn't fast enough. They were shooting at me and I was supposed to dodge their shots, but one got me right in the arm. It was blown off, my arm unsalvageable. So since my parents are rich as hell, they got a new arm made for me. It's cool I guess, but I don't know how I feel about being part robot...." As he finished, Killua looked down, his eyes reflecting his past pain.
Gon looked down too, his expression becoming dark. ".....How could a parent do that to their child? Their own flesh and blood?!" The rage started to seep into Gon's words, making them sound stern.
Killua was frightened by this new side of Gon but shook his head nevertheless. "I don't think my parents necessarily care about me as a person, they just kinda raised me to be whatever they wanted me to be, I mean it's not like I knew that growing up."
"That's the messed up part! They don't think of you as a person........not to mention they treated you so horribly....I won't forgive them for that." Gon clenched his fist and punched the sand out of frustration from hearing about his precious friends terrible past.
"Gon...." Killua reached over and grabbed both of Gon's hands in his own and sat down in his lap casually. "Don't get yourself so worked up over me; I think I turned out alright!"
Slightly blushing due to the position they were now in, Gon slightly looked away, wondering how Killua could be so casual about sitting in his lap and holding his hands like this. Nonetheless, he calmed down and unclenched his fist.
"I care about you so of course I'm going to get worked up, don't act like you don't matter." Gon said in a more serious tone.
Killua's chest fluttered a little. He enjoyed Gon's kind words; he always knew the right thing to say to make Killua happy.
"R-right.... oh and Gon, maybe you should tell me about your past now; I have a right to know my best friends story."
Hearing this made Gon's current serious expression vanish, and he smiled warmly at the white haired male.
"Of course! Now take a seat while I tell you the story of Gon Freeces!"
