Killua sat in the cafeteria alone as usual, everyone too intimidated to approach him. He watched as the spiky haired boy talked to many other soldiers at his table. Everyone liked him, and of course they would; Gon is light. He brought joy wherever he went, and a lot of that was needed in a military setting, where people couldn't be happy with their families.
Picking around his food, Killua continued to look at Gon, taking in his features. He's quite a breathtaking sight, so full of color and beauty. It entranced Killua and he couldn't stop these thoughts.
Gon seemed to notice Killua staring and got up, taking his food and sitting next to him, ignoring the warnings his new friends were giving him about the blue eyed boy.
Killua seemed a little startled by Gons sudden appearance. "How come your not eating your food?" Gon asked as Killua stared down at his plate, realizing it was full of food still. "I guess I'm not hungry; I never really eat much anyway."
Gon picked up Killua's spoon and started scooping food onto it. "You should really eat more; I mean look at you, you're very thin!"
The spoon was brought to Killua's lips, but he turned his head away and crossed his arms like a child. "Just eat, it's good for you!" Gon tried to reason with him but Killua shook his head no.
"Fine." Gon said as he put down the spoon. "I won't eat either, not until you eat." He crossed his arms as well.
Killua didn't want Gon's health to suffer just because he wasn't eating, and he didn't seem to be budging. "Oi! Gon come on I'm used to this it's not even a big deal."
"Nope! Not until you eat."
"....You're extremely stubborn you know that..."
"I'm aware, so I am not uncrossing my arms until you pick up that spoon and shove food into your face hole!"
Letting out a small laugh, Killua gave in. He picked up his spoon and ate slowly, waiting for Gon to do the same. Once Gon noticed Killua eating his food he smiled and dug in as well.
The other soldiers Gon had left to sit with Killua were now staring at the two young boys playful banter.
Seeing Killua not as scary and intimidating as he usually is made them feel a little more comfortable, and one by one, more and more of them walked over to their table to sit with them.
Killua seemed a little confused by this, and at first nobody talked to him. Slowly though, more and more of the soldiers spoke to Killua, mainly to compliment him or just start a small conversation. Gon noticed Killua acting more friendly with others than he usually did; this
made him glad.
"Hey Killua, can we....finally be friends now?" Gon asked as he stared at the table with a
slight blush forming on his face.
Killua broke away from the conversation he was having with one of his teammates and stared at Gon. He had remembered his parents telling him to never make friends, but now here he was talking amongst the other soldiers in a friendly manner.
His parents never told him why he couldn't make friends though, so he decided to ignore their advice.
"Sure Gon, let's be friends."
