Still laying on Killua's bed, Gon was no longer crying, but his mood was still grim and depressed.

His mind currently wasn't capable of thinking rationally; all he wanted to do was kill a chimera solider with his bare hands.

The rage and fire embedded within him was starting to rise, until he heard the door open.

"....Gon? Val wanted to see you." Leorio called as he stepped inside, Val also coming in the room.

Once he laid his eyes on Gon, Val immediately jumped on the older boy, hugging him tightly.

Gon's dangerous mood had now died down, being in the presence of his child.

Upon seeing the boys reunion, Leorio exited the room so they could have time alone.

Val pulled away from the hugged and looked up at his black haired guardian. "...They told me about what happened to mom....It made me cry."

Gon let out a small laugh, though his face still showed despair. "Killua would be mad if he heard you calling him mom ya know."

"I know, but like you said, he's really pretty!" Val smiled brightly at his elder, not seeming entirely sad. "I think he's okay though, I haven't given up on him yet!"

Gon stared at the floor, then back at Val. A smile settled on his face; Val always knew the right thing to say.

"Yes....we won't give up hope, because I'm going to get Killua back, no matter what it takes."

"Promise you'll get him back?" Val asked as he held out his pinky.

Gon nodded his head and interviewed their pinkies together, intending to keep his promise.

Together they walked down the hall to the conference room, where Gon intended to demand a search party be formed to help him find Killua.

When they entered the room, there was a meeting going on already; Kurapika and Leorio were sat in the room as well.

"I don't know what's being talked about here but Killua is in danger and we have to save him!" Gon shouted, sounding confident.

The soldiers now directed there attention to the boys, Lieutenant Illumi taking a stand.

"My brother was dumb enough to get captured, so he deserves whatever those chimera soldiers have in store for him. We don't tolerate weakness in the Zoldyck family."

Hearing those cold words coming from Killua's own brother caused Gon to become furious once again. "How dare you say that! He's your own brother and you don't care one bit? That's heartless!"

The tan boy was now clenching his fists, although when Val placed his small hand on Gon's wrist, he began to calm down a little.

"I'm afraid it's too dangerous to send a whole party just to get back one solider. The enemy probably wants to negotiate for his safe return, and even with Killua's talent and value, we still can't just jump into this." Netero stated from the front of the room.

Gon started to feel defeat, but quickly shook it off and replaced it with more pride. "If you won't help me, then I'll get him back myself!"

Picking up Val and walking away, Gon made his grand exit. Though nobody was going to actually believe a kid like him could do anything.

Although Kurapika and Leorio ran after the boys, stopping them in the middle of the hallway.

"Gon just what do you think you're doing?!" Kurapika questioned.

Gon, ignoring Kurapika's questioning, started his walk again, down the hall and to the barracks.

Kurapika and Leorio followed as he entered someone's room.

Inside sat Colonel Biscuit Krueger; this was her room.

The wise, sassy woman who took the form as a cute, young girl stared up at Gon, knowing he meant business.

"Bisky, I need you to watch my son for me; I have somewhere to be."
