Batman x Joker What Would I Do Without You

Chapter 3

Normal POV

Batman was grappling across different buildings in search of anything around Gotham he should be saving but still nothing. So he's on top of a tower peering around the streets when he spotted a familiar figure in the distance. It was Joker... But he didn't look as if he was doing anything bad he had just been walking around the park and then sitting down on a bench by the small pond. Nobody else was really around the park at the time though because most kids were in school and adults were at work around this time of day so Joker was practically all alone. Batman didn't wanna take any risks though so he grappled down and stood beside the bench Joker was sitting on.

Joker looked over at him surprised. He didn't expect Batman of all people would show up especially when he wasn't even doing anything wrong at the moment.

"Oh, What are you doing here Bats?!?"

"I was on Patrol and nothing bad has been happening today, normally you always have schemes I need to stop, it made me suspicious of anything you might be planning. I just happened to have noticed you here." Batman said very concerned.

"Most of my henchmen are still in Arkham, they haven't bothered escaping yet and I have no idea why. Harley is always up my ass so she won't really do anything bad unless I order her to which I haven't. I needed a personal day Batsy, have you never heard of that?..." Joker looked down because so much was going on in his head right now.

"I'm sorry Joker, I suppose I just never thought someone as crazy as you could ever get stressed out or feel emotional about anything. You're always so unpredictable." Batman sat beside him on the bench staring at the park pond in front of them.

Joker looked over at Batman like they were best friends trying to comfort one another. "I never thought I'd ever hear The Dark Knight apologizing to me haha you make me laugh."

Batman smiled at little bit but then stopped trying to remain serious and looked Joker straight in the eyes, those beautiful green eyes of the Joker he wish he could resist, "So what happens now? Will you just return to crime by tomorrow?.."

Joker was lost in Batman's gorgeous blue eyes but snapped out of it quickly to respond, "Most likely, it is my life you know, who I am. There's a lot you don't even realize though."

"Care to explain then?..." Curious as Batman was.

"You couldn't handle anything that goes on in my head. You're mundane word 'depression' may sum it up but it sounds ridiculous for someone like me to feel..." Joker trailed off in his sentence feeling as though he's said too much already.

"You use to ask me why I was so serious all the time.. I always wondered why you made a joke out of everything, even the worst possible things you would laugh at. But even after all these years we still don't know who each other is outside of fighting each other. It's actually funny really." Batman giggled a little making Joker smile widely at him.

"I enjoy your company, you know that Batsy. That's probably why I continue to do bad things for your attention. You're the yin to my yang, I don't believe we're very different as people we just react to situations differently." Joker was saying so many things he wish he would stop being such an emotional pussy in front of Bats.

"I understand most of what you mean, but what will get you to not commit any crimes tomorrow or ever again?" Batman started sounding concerned again.

"I don't know... This who I am like i said Bats, I can't just change because you ask me to. Can you ever just accept me for me?..." Joker looked down like a sad puppy.

"Is it alright if I ask why you're so upset?..." Trying to be as gentle as he could to not make Joker feel even worse.

Joker thought about all the reasons he wasn't feeling ok at the moment but there was nothing he could tell the man he had been falling in love with.
