Batman x Joker What Would I Do Without You

Chapter 4

Normal POV

Batman could see Joker didn't wanna talk about anything that was hurting him right now but if he wouldn't tell him then how was he suppose to make him feel any better. Even though he was a madman that didn't mean Batman was heartless, he wants everyone to overcome depression if they can. Batman scooted closer to Joker, putting his arm around him for comfort to let him know it was perfectly ok to talk to him if he needed to. Batman felt as though his feelings for Joker were starting to show but for the sake of being a good person and being Batman he was doing his best to care.

Joker looked shocked, the man of his dreams has his arm around him. Joker blushed thinking of how badly he just wanted to just throw both of his arms around his Bats and tell him how much he loved him.. but he knew Batman was just trying to be nice, after all Joker would be nothing more than a criminal to him he figured.. Instead of saying anything, Joker simply stood up and tried walking away. He wanted so badly to just avoid everything, just be the same bad guy he always was, but Batman was quick at blocking Joker from going anywhere by grappling them both up to the nearest tall building by them.

"Why is it you won't tell me anything?!? Can't you see I'm offering you help?" Batman said starting to sound irritated.

"So Batsy actually cares about me, does he? That's new, all I've ever got before was beat up and thrown behind bars. Who would've ever known you actually cared about me the same way I always cared about you." Joker replied getting fed up.

"What did you say Joker?"

Joker paused for a minute realizing he just admitted that he actually cared for Batman. But maybe Bats will just brush it off and forget about it.

"Joker, you say a lot that you care about me and all these other things for years now but you say it in such a way how can anyone ever take you seriously. Whenever you say you like me in any way I immediately write off as another one of your silly jokes." Feeling defeated Batman turned away looking at a now sunset in from of him on the rooftop.

Joker continued to be silent, it seemed nothing he said would matter anyway. By tomorrow he would just be back to committing horrible crimes and just get thrown back in Arkham anyway so perhaps it didn't matter if yelled anything he damn well pleased to the bat before him. The courage was very hard to find though.

"Please Joker just say anything to me.. I don't care anymore.. Our lives will continue the same way by tomorrow anyway so just say what you wanna say and we can go our separate ways again. I see it in your eyes you're thinking of something but just won't spill it yet."

"I love you dammit!!......" Screamed the Joker

There was another long silence, one looking surprised and the other wishing maybe he should have just died then and there.

Batman walked up to the Joker slowly. With every step Joker started clinching up as if The Dark Knight was just gonna beat him up twice as bad for saying such a strong thing to him. Once they were face to face, no more than 2 inches from each other, Batman cupped Joker's cheek in his hand and kissed him softly on the lips. The kiss only lasted for a brief moment but it felt like a lifetime of happiness to Joker making him blush and his heart started racing. After that moment Batman grappled away instantly disappearing into the newly set night sky leaving Joker alone with a genuine smile and loving thoughts until morning.
