Chapter 26

Batman POV

It's been a full week now since Dick came to stay and now he would be leaving back to school for another month until he graduates. He was in the batcave still dressed as Robin and Bruce still dressed at Batman. They just got back from a long night of going after Penguin who had robbed the bank. They fought crime together every night that week like before he left for education purposes except for the first night he came home. As Batman was sitting at his giant computer system analyzing some evidence he found after putting Penguin in Arkham Robin was standing behind him telling him his future plans after finishing schooling since he was 18 now.

"After I graduate I was thinking of going off on my own. I still want to use the name Robin but I need to be my own leader for once."

"How do you intend to accomplish that? What are you thinking of going off to do?" Batman asked?

"I wanted to create my own super hero team. I would be the leader but I would move on to protect a new city, one that could really use a group of heroes not just me as a sidekick anymore."

"You're not so eager to leave here because of Joker are you?... I'm your parent and I worry."

"No, it has nothing to do with that, I told you I'm fine with everything. I just think I'm an adult now and I wanna go my own way in life and spread good to another city other than Gotham." Robin briefly explained.

"Well, I guess if you want to move on that's ok. I've trained you well enough and if you can make it as your own leader I support it. Who are you gathering as a team exactly?"

"At school I met them four really awesome people who said they would be willing to start a team with me. They all have actual super powers though, I'm the only human one. Their names are Cyborg who is half robot, Beast Boy who has the power to shapeshift into any animal on the planet, Raven who is half demon but wants to use all her powers for good, and Starfire who is an alien princess from another planet." Robin got excited talking about this.

"You sounded the most giddy when you mentioned this Starfire girl, does someone have a new crush?" Batman joked.

Robin blushed, "No!....Well.. I don't know... Maybe... She's just a friend and a teammate."

Batman smirked, "Ok well I hope that works out for you, what are you going to call this new team of yours?"

"Teen Titans, we all decided the name together."

"What city are you going to protect besides Gotham?"

"We decided Jump City would be the best place to start our headquarters. It's not too far from Gotham so I can always come back to see you if you want or need me."

"Well, today you'll be leaving and the next time I'll see you is at your graduation and call me if you ever need anything, ok?"

"Ok." They both smiled at each other trying to soak up all the years they spent together in that moment knowing soon they'd have to go their separate ways.

Then to ruin the special moment Joker came bursting into the batcave looking like something horrible was happening.

"Bats!! Bats!! You have to help me!! I just found out Harley is losing control and starting a revenge, she's going to blow this whole relationship for us, that bitch!!" Joker was having a panic attack. Batman had never seen anything like this from the Joker before, worse than any other freak out he's ever had.
