¡Ay coño! I can't deal with the situation at hand. What am I supposed to wear? Should I wear something nice, or something casual. I need help. So I did the first thing that came to mind and I called Chica. She had come over and picked out some outfits for me. Now here I am pacing back and forth trying to figure out what will be the best to go with. Fuck it! I put on my black skinnies, long blue button up, and decide to leave my hair down. Suddenly the sound of a ding shoots throughout the room causing me to jump. Lauren texted me telling me she was ready and to meet her at her room before we leave. I take one last look in the mirror and head to Lo's room. Once I knock on the door I'm pulled in and the door is slammed shut. I see the five girls standing in front of me. I look at Lauren, "What's wrong?"

All the girls grab hands and Lo grabs mine, "We have to speak through a closed off mind link so no one can hear."

"We don't want to scare you, but there are things you need to know before you go to dinner with Lauren's parents," Dinah says.

I look to Lauren and urge her to explain. She nods and continues, "Dinah told me about you two running into my father's best friend, Isandro."

"Wait, your father is best friends with Isandro? The Peruvian asshole, who tried to crossbreed werewolves with werecats like himself? Which ended up leaving thousands dead because the two species can't breed with each other."

Noticing me getting worked up, she lets Ally's hand go and wraps me in a hug, "I know baby. He isn't a good man. But we can't change what is. Which is why it's important that you don't mention that you are also an alpha, or that you're a bloodmoon born. If Isandro found out, he'd try and make you an experiment. He's turned my father into a power hungry man. I'll have to put up an act tonight, just know that this is the real me, not the person I'm about to act like."

I nod, realizing that she has made me loosen up completely. I let go and look at her, "Time to go, beautiful."

She smiles and we say goodbye to the girls and head to the dining hall down stairs. We made our way into the dinning hall and to find her father at a table in a private room, hand in hand. Sure enough, Isandro is there. I pull Lauren into me, wrapping my arm around her waist. Her father smiles when we are finally at the table, "Girls! I'm glad you could make it."

I pull out Lauren's chair and push it in after she sits down. And before I can sit in the chair next to her, a younger man sits next to her, "Hey, Lo, it's been a while. I've missed you. "

I smell a familiar scent and realize it her brother. I just glare at him and a very low growl escapes my throat. Everyone at the table stops talking and looks at me. Lauren just sips her water with a smirk, "It looks like you've sat in the wrong seat dearest Chris."

He glances towards me, then rolls his eyes, "Yeah and what's a bodyguard going to do to an alpha's son? Where did you find this shmuck anyways? She looks got more bark then bite anyway."

Lauren only chuckles, "I wouldn't underestimate this one Chris."

"Yeah right Lo. Like I'm afraid of your bodyguard."

I hear Lauren's voice in my head, "Pin him against the wall. Make sure he doesn't question you."

Chris' voice registers again, "What is she anyways... like 5'8", or someth-"

I pulled him out of my seat and had him pinned against the wall in a split second. My top canines came out involuntarily. He tries to get out of my hold, but can't. I slowly look up and make eye contact, "Doubt me again, I dare you," I then get next to his ear, "but it won't end well for you."
