Here I am, pinned against the wall. Staring into Isandro's  yellow feline eyes. The low growl in my throat making itself louder. I feel an animal fighting to be released from within. I realize, in that moment, that it wasn't my wolf fighting to be set free, but my cat. I've only been in that form a handful of times and something about the Peruvian in front of me is making the feline beast fighting to be freed from within.

"This one has an attitude and shall be dealt with be me," he snarls in my face.

"You can't! She's my mate," I hear Lauren plead, but my eyes never lost contact.

"Stay out of this Lauren! You two haven't even marked yet, so the pain from the loss wont be as bad."

I become more fuelled when the thought of my mate in pain comes to mind. He unsheathes a knife and holds in to my neck, "The wolves bane infused into the blade, will only make watching you wither all the more interesting. But don't worry mutt, it will only be painful until you die."

He lifts his hand and lodges the blade into my chest and let's me fall. I let out a groan as the pain of the wound and the contact with the floor rushes through me. That's when my strength to hold back my tiger is weakened and I let out an in audibly low growl. Not my usual canine growl, but an inexplicably feline one. The thing is, wolves bane wont kill be, it just hurts my nose a bit because of its awful smell. My ears are ringing and I see Lauren throw one of Isandro's men and is by my side in an instant. She instantly grabs the knife and tries to pull, but the bane singes her hands and she flinches and let's go. Before she can try again, she is pulled off by three wolves. I turn to see the pool of blood and notice my reflection. The one detail I notice is my dimly glowing red cat eyes, and know that no one can see my eyes besides Lauren.

I've trained for situations like these, not being able to use my eyes. I look down to the knife and pull it out. I glance up to see no one noticing me being alive, much less about to get up, I take a quick glance to the man who's knife I now wield. I can tell by the shake of his shoulders, he is laughing. Only one sound strikes my ears, the screams of my mate fighting off the wolves holding her back.  Her eyes are closed as she thrashes about scratching and pushing her attackers away. She now has 6 wolves instead of three trying to hold her. And I've had it. I tear a piece of my shirt off and wrap it around my head to cover my eyes, then proceed. Within a millisecond, I bolt across the room. I pass Isandro and stab the knife under his collarbone, then throw the ones who dared to touch my mate, across the room. My back to everyone but Lauren, I take a second before turning around, "If you ever touch my ma-," a wolf jumps up to attack me, but I grab him by the neck and slam him into the ground.

I stand up and continue, "If you even THINK of touching my mate again, you will not live to see another happy day. And Isandro," I turn my head towards the sound of his heartbeat, "Fuck you, and your wolves bane. Now if you excuse me, assholes, I have to go get some rest and a new change of clothes."

I feel Lo put my arm around her shoulder as she helps guide me to the room. Once we arrive she locks the door and sets me in the bathtub, not wanting to stain anything. she kneels in front of me, in the tub, and slowly takes the wrap off my head. I instantly look down, "You probably don't want to see me like this."

She gently lifts my chin and smiles at me, "I will always want to see you, no matter what. Even in your cat form," she strokes my cheek with her thumb and it happens. I lean into her, closing my eyes, and I start purring.  My eyes spring open in surprise. She just giggles, "You like me that much, huh?"

I blush and look down, "This whole cat side.. has a lot of things I'm not used to."

She smiles, " That's ok, babe. Uumm.. do you mind taking off your shirt? I kinda need to clean your wounds and make sure to rinse out any reminisce of the wolves bane,  so you don't get sick."

I chuckle, causing her to give me a confused look. I sigh, "I'm fine, as far as poison goes.  Wolves bane doesn't effect me. But as far as the shirt goes," I take it off and set it on the floor, "It's history."

She just hums and grabs a damp rag to wipe the blood from my nearly healed wound. When she's done, she gets up and walks into the bedroom of the suite. I get up and follow short after. I see her looking out the window at the sky. I walk up behind her and wrap my arms round her. She relaxes into me and sighs. Before I can say anything, she speaks, "I thought I was going to lose you today," She closes the curtains and turns to me, "My world started to crumble as you fell to the ground. I didn't know what to do. I forgot that the blade had bane until after I touched it. Then I was taken away from you and all I could think of was how I needed to save you, Y/n. Everything was happening in slow motion, they wouldn't let me near you. And I-"

I cut her off and attach our lips. I pull away, "I'm right here. I promise, I'm not going anywhere. You are my ONE, Lo. I will spend forever with you. I'm yours."

"Mark me," she said with pleading eyes, "Make me yours and mark me."

"Lo, are you sur-," She grabs my neck and kisses me, pushing her body against mine. Suddenly I feel a burst of energy, then all at once I hear a howl and a roar. I feel myself fall and hear Lauren say my name. But black takes over my senses, and I'm gone.
