I was sitting in my room back at the manor in Spirit Realm with absolutely nothing to do. I hated going to Physical Realm, but today I was going to make an exception. Vixen, my one true love had returned to her body and Miracle wanted me to go and check that she wasn't already being tracked down by that asshole of a group called The Grave Angels. When I arrived at the hospital I could sense that The Grave Angels ruled this place. I asked the doctors to leave me and the "patient" alone so I could ask her questions. When I walked into the room my eyes landed right on top of Vixen. Her eyes were covered with a mask, her ears hidden beneath a surgeon cap, and I could tell her tail was trying to force its way out of the covers. I sat on the bed and asked her if she remembered me, but she shook her head no. A knock came to the door so I made a quick decision to leave since she didn't remember anything. While I sat at home thinking about how beautiful Vixen was a loud piercing howl sounded throughout Spirit Realm. I quickly geared up for I knew that was Vixen calling out to me. I grabbed my portal rings and quickly ran through to Physical Realm. I stepped out to see a car smashed against a telephone pole at least 15 yards away from the forest line. All the windows were broken and I knew Vix had to be in there. I quickly ran to the car and opened the door. When the door was opened a dead body fell out. His ears were oozing out blood and I couldn't help but stared in disgust. Now I knew this was Vixen's doing because only her howl could do this much damage. I looked at her and told her that I heard her call for help. She was looking at a boy in the passenger seat who was still alive and moving. She then reached out for my hand when he grabbed her ankle and scratched her. She yelped as I wrapped my hands around her waist and pulled her out of the car. We took off running and when we got far enough into the forest I stopped to hold her.
"Oh Vix, I've missed hearing that beautiful howl of yours."
I pulled away and held her out, staring at her lovingly. Then my heart started to sink as she looked back at me with a blank expression covering her face. I let go and stepped back from her.
"Do you...do you even remember me?"
Suddenly she started walking towards me and I stiffened up. She brought her face close to my neck like she used to and I began to relax again. She took a sniff and lightly ran her tongue over my skin. I closed my eyes in pleasure when Vixen stiffened up. I looked down at her, knowing that she was remembering and put my arm around her lovingly.
I was sitting around the manor with nothing to do. I wanted to ask Miracle if she had any chores to do, but I hadn't seen her all day long. I asked Willow, her second in command, if she had seen her anywhere, but all she responded with 'she went out'. Finally after a few hours of waiting Miracle walked in the threshold of the manor. I got up to greet her when I noticed that there was a girl in tow behind her. She was small and petite with long silver hair and large wolf ears sitting on top. Her eyes were a haunting yellow and I could see the tips of large incisors poking out of her mouth. A large bushy tail trailed behind her. I looked at Miracle who explained that she was a new member of Spirit Realm and our family. I smiled and offered to take her off Miracle's hand to show her around. We walked around the manor as I introduced myself.
"I'm Novae Hyperion by the way, what's your name?"
She looked down with a red face and whispered her name quietly.
"My name is uhm, I believe it's Ashley Lithe."
I looked at her confused because of how unsure she felt about her name. Then I stopped walking after coming up with an amazing idea.
"Well if you want you can totally change it to something else!"
She looked down at the floor and began thinking to herself. We sat down on the floor in the hall and started thinking up cool names for her. After what seemed like hours Ashley shot up and said a name.
"Oh my gosh! What about Vixen Rogue?! I always liked the name Vixen and technically I am a rogue since I left home without telling my mom."
I liked the name too. It suited her personality so much. We went around the manor screaming her name and introducing her to everyone we came into contact with. We sounded like banshees. I grabbed her arm and led her outside to the courtyard. As we walked Vixen grew past her shyness and we spent the entire night walking amongst the rose bushes talking about our interests and lives. I told her how I had been living in Spirit Realm my entire life and that I grew up learning sorcery with my mother who passed a few years back. We got done with talking about me so I asked about Vixen. I pushed back a few bushes to reveal a hidden fountain with water trickling out the spout. We sat down as she told me about how she was only 10 and that her father died in a car crash and her mother grew ill due to depression. She laid her head down in my lap as she gazed up into the sky and stared at the stars. She was beautiful and I didn't ever want her to leave my side. After 13 years of being in love with her I was ready to ask her to marry me. She was 23 now and I guided her to a secret grotto I had found a couple days before her birthday. I decorated it with candles and rose petals with a special dinner placed by the sparkling water. We sat and talked when I got down on knee and proposed. At that moment Miracle started calling for us. We emerged from the secret grotto and found Miracle waiting for us under a group of trees. Vixen looked at the spot scared.
"Vixen, what's wrong?"
"Those are the trees I woke up under."
Miracle held out her hand for Vixen and looked at me sadly.
"Miracle, what's going on?"
"Its time for Vixen to leave and wake up in her physical body."
We stood under the trees, ready to say goodbye to one another. I held her as she ran her tongue over my neck. I bent down and whispered that I loved her in her ears. She looked up at me with her face turning red.
"I love you too Novae."
Then she was gone and I stood in the woods all alone with empty arms and tears staining my face.
