Miracle and I were right in the middle of training when we heard Vixen's powerful howl. We couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from though. It sounded and felt like it was coming from all around us. Miracle was starting to grow angry the longer we failed at finding Vixen.
"Ugh! The longer she's with those Grave Angels the longer she's training and getting stronger!"
I looked away toward the woods, hoping Vixen would walk out into the clearing saying that she was only with Nate to destroy them from the inside. But I knew what she felt and there were not any secret motives hidden. Everything Nate had told her, she believed. I turned back to the charred practice dummy that I found in the manor rubble around the hole and started practicing destruction magic. Sooner or later I would have to fight my baby girl, but I had to have Miracle believe that I would take Vixen out. But I had a plan of my own. There was no way I was going to kill Vixen, but Miracle couldn't know about that.
"Novae, come here. We have to talk about the plan."
I released a fire ball, setting the dummy a blaze before walking toward Miracle. She let out a low whistle and gave me a small smile.
"Nice, anyways its time I told you the plan of action. You and a few of my soldiers are going to stay here in Spirit Realm to search for that she wolf and Grave Angels. Once you find her you will use your destruction spells to kill her and end the rebellion of Grave Angels. Does that sound good with you?"
I looked at her and nodded. The only difference was that I wasn't going to kill Vixen. I had been learning a spell that would give everyone the illusion of Vixen dying. Only the spell wouldn't kill her. It would slow her heart rate and transport her to an emergency bunker hidden in Physical Realm and replace her body with a realistic decoy that doesn't have a pulse. Then I would run away after the fight to take care of her in Physical Realm.
I thought over my plan until I realized Miracle didn't say what she was going to be doing during all this.
"Wait a minute, what are you going to do?"
She looked toward the tree line where the portal to Physical Realm resided. She looked like she wasn't sure of something. Then she shook her head and looked at me right in the eyes. I used to always be afraid of Miracle's icy blue eyes, but this time was different. This time when I looked into them I could feel a dark, cold, evil feeling hiding behind them.
"I'm going to be in Physical Realm."
I looked at her carefully. Miracle was going to run off and hide while the rest of us risked our lives. It kind of pissed me off, but I was completely okay with it. This part of the plan made it easier for me to commence with my own plan. I held out my hand until she took it in hers. She closed her eyes as I bowed to her and smiled.
"Don't worry, we want you to be safe anyways Miracle."
