The moment Miracle's lips touched mine I quickly pushed her off. My mind was reeling one thousand miles an hour!
"Miracle! What the hell do you think you're doing?!"
She sat up and looked at me devilishly. The entire room grew cold and my body suddenly felt heavy as I fell back onto the bed. She had paralyzed me.
"I'm going to make sure you stay on my side as my loyal soldier and destroy Vixen like we planned."
My body grew weaker and weaker until I felt relaxed as if I was floating underwater. I looked at Miracle through hooded eyes as she walked out of the room. I felt dizzy as my mind started filling up with Miracle's plan to kill my beloved. One by one all of my good memories faded and all I was left with was an image of me standing over a dead Vixen, covered in her blood. I shot up puking at the sight of it staining my brain.
"Please Miracle! Don't make me do this! I love her!"
I screamed and screamed, begging her to stop the thoughts and images, but she never answered. After a few minutes of screaming a guard shut the door. I was growing tired of screaming, but I didn't want to give up just yet. I was about to yell again when the bedroom door opened. I held my breath then gasped when Vixen walked in. She was so beautiful.
Her hair was loose around her face, her bright red eyes alert and curious, her body looked snug in her gear and a long bow was across her back. She took a step into the room and my body shot up. I was against her and she looked down horrified then back up at me. I was confused to what was happening until I looked down too. I didn't even realized I had stabbed her. My heart and mind thought I was hugging her, but my body had summoned a knife and ran it right into her.
She started coughing and spitting up blood on to my face. I looked up into her eyes and saw tears forming.
"No, no babe. I'm so sorry. Please, please, no."
Then the light in her eyes faded as she slumped over and fell to the ground. My body felt heavy again as I stumbled back to the bed. I began crying when Miracle walked in.
"Perfect, the spell worked."
"What spell?"
"Oh just a little spell that would make you attack and kill Vixen the moment you lay eyes on her."
Miracle kicked at Vixen's dead body, but when I looked at it it wasn't Vixen. It was someone else. I sat up and looked at Miracle in the eyes. They were filled with evil and resentment.
"Why do you want her dead so badly?"
"Because Spirit Realm is my kingdom now and no reincarnation of a dead princess that I worked so hard to kill the first time is going to that it away from me."
"What are you even talking about!? Vixen isn't Midnight! Midnight is dead! She died Miracle! Just like you said, you killed her trying to protect Spirit Realm!"
"Oh Novae, you're so naive, it wasn't even that hard to keep the truth from you."
"What are you saying?"
"I'm saying I killed Midnight Hyperion trying to take her powers from her and dethroned Ophelia."
My eyes grew wide in horror. Miracle slowly smiled and began telling her story of taking over Spirit Realm.
"You see Novae, Ophelia was given this realm thousands of millennia's ago and everyone who came here named her queen, except for me. Yes I was one of her closest and trusted lackeys, but I wanted to be queen and be adored and loved by all. Sadly no one would even give me the time of day. So after finding enough followers and convincing all the subjects of Spirit Realm that Ophelia was planning on betraying them all I staged a rebellion. I learned to take the magic and energy from all of my enemies. I was absolutely grand.
The only problem was learning to defeat Ophelia and her daughter, the two most powerful beings of all of Spirit Realm. They were the only two left of the animal spirit species. Meaning I had no idea if I could even use my spell on them. So when the time came I stormed Hyperion Manor and came across the lovely Midnight. I held her down and began draining her, but the moment a drop of her animal life force left her body she instantly died. I was angry yes, but I still had Ophelia to get a hold of.
But but the time I reached her chambers she was gone. I took over as ruler for this realm. I had a few skirmishes with her 'troops' throughout the years after that, but they were easy to dispose of. Now this place is mine, but your 'girlfriend' will soon learn the truth and try to take it from me. Little does she know though that her beloved fiancé will kill her on sight."
I looked at her through hot tears as she smiled evilly and exited the room. I had to warn Vixen, but the moment I see her she'll be dead. I had to find a way to get a message to her, but how? I laid on the bed, waiting for sleep to take me over. The sun slowly set until the room was blanketed in darkness and I was left alone. But I could feel a presence watching me.
I sat up and looked around and noticed a small object twinkling in the moonlight on the floor. I bent down and picked up a necklace with a pendant. The pendant was of an angel crying on top of a grave stone. I dropped it then noticed writing on the back, an inscription.
~To my new daughter, Ashley Midnight Hyperion Lithe. You will accomplish great things in your life to come. Love Ophelia Hyperion. October 4, 1994. Forever and always a Grave Angel.~
I carefully picked up the necklace and turned it over in my hands. Vixen was a Grave Angel and always had been. I sighed as I sat it down on the nightstand. Suddenly it began to shake and a young girl appeared before me through a portal. I jumped back onto the bed and looked at her shocked. She was small and short with bunny ears and a fluffy tail.
She was dressed in fighting gear. She looked around until her eyes landed on the necklace I just set down. She completely ignored me until I spoke up.
"Do you know where Vixen is?"
She looked at me then frowned.
"I don't know a Vixen."
She was just about to leave when Nate walked through the portal. He was standing tall with a large sword at his side and dressed in fighting gear just like the bunny girl. He looked around the room sadly until his eyes landed on me. He smirked softly and sauntered toward me.
"Well if it isn't Novae."
"What are you doing here Nate?"
"I'm here to pick up her royal highness's belonging."
He gestured toward the pendant and looked back to me.
"What are you doing here?"
"Miracle has made this place her base."
"I see. Her highness will be upset. Oh wait she already is since she had a premonition of her beloved kissing her enemy in her own bed."
I looked at him scared and confused. How did he know that Miracle kissed me and who was his highness? Then I realized he was talking about Vixen. She was Midnight Hyperion, rightful ruler of Spirit Realm. I quickly stood up and grabbed him.
"Please Nate! You have to warn her! I know I messed up but Miracle has something planned! You have to warn her!"
I brought him close to me and told him everything. He slowly backed away and quickly left through the portal, bunny girl in tow giving me an ugly look.
