Novae looked at me with sadness in his eyes, but tried to hide it with a forced smile. I looked around me and realized we were in the garden of the manor back in Spirit Realm. Everything was the same from when Novae had first brought me here 13 years ago. Everything, but the water fountain. It was a big pile of stone and rubble with tiny streams of water trying to force its way out of the cracks.
It looked horrible and sad. I walked towards him for a huge, assuming that was why he was sad. The moment I took a step fear filled his eyes as he hurriedly took multiple steps back. I was confused on why he moved. I wanted to hold him, to show him that i was there for him, to show that I loved him.
"Novae...what's wrong? Why did you move away from me?"
He looked away and started crying softly. I had never seen him like this and it surprisingly hurt to watch him break down like that. Suddenly I got an impulse to call him by a name that I had never called him before.
"Super Novae...please, talk to me."
The moment I said that Novae quickly looked at me with tearful eyes. I had never called him that, but something inside me had before. It felt so right to have those words roll off my tongue.
"What...what did you just call me?"
Novae stared at me carefully as if I was a rabid dog ready to attack. Then on instinct I softly started to sing a lullaby the woman sang to me when I was a baby just before she disappeared. Something was telling me to sing to calm Novae down. I was right to have done it when a shield around him exploded and disappeared, his eyes growing soft as he relaxed. He was scared of me and thanks to that shield I never would have known.
Slowly I began walking towards him and held out my arms when Miracle appeared out of nowhere and yelled an incantation. Novae's shield erupted into sparks, surrounding him once again and burning both of my hands. I howled in pain, feeling the ground beneath me shake. I looked at her in anger and was ready to lunge at her when another girl came up from behind and called out an incantation. Just as I jumped an iron bar cage trapped me in place. I felt like a wild animal being hunted down for its pelt.
I tried to think of a way out when I looked over at Novae.
"I told you we'd catch her."
It was Miracle talking to Novae and the other girl. That's when I realized that all of this was a set up. My blood roiled to a broil. I was so angry that my "true love" set me up to be caged. I hadn't done anything wrong, I didn't deserve to be treated that way. Two men walked out from the tree behind Novae and approached my prison.
"Even her alluring spells are more powerful than Ophelia's."
I could feel my blood rising as I started to snarl at everyone who came near me. The Novae walked up to me. He didn't seem angry, more like upset and disappointed. I stared at him until he slipped his hand through the bars and cupped my cheek. I could feel myself calming down and my insides started warming up. It felt good to feel his skin touching mine. When I look back up at him he was crying. Then Miracle was at his side, her hand on his shoulder as she looked at me with fear in her eyes.
I was confused as to what was going on around me. Everyone either looked scared or mad. Just then a pain shot throughout my entire body. I looked at my arm to see a tranquilizer dart sticking out. Then the world went black as I fell to the ground.
