"What do you mean my mom wasn't a sorcerer?!"

Miracle had brought me back to the manor and took an hour to explain that my mom wasn't who I thought she was.

"Novae please calm down. Sit down so we can talk."

"Calm down? Calm down! For two years I knew my mom! For two years I thought she was a sorcerer! Now after 23 years of her being gone you're telling me that all of it was a damn lie!"

I started pacing the room, growing angry as the realization started kicking in. Ophelia Hyperion raised me in Spirit Realm. She taught me how to control my abilities. She taught me how to be a gentleman. She taught me everything that I know. And now after two years of being her son, everything she taught me was a lie! October 1 of 1994 she disappeared without a trace, not telling anyone anything. Where she was going, why she was leaving, when she'll be back. Nothing. 5 years after her disappearance she was pronounced dead near a portal.

"If she wasn't a sorcerer, then what was she?"

I sat down to listen when a loud piercing howl sounded through Spirit Realm. It was like a massive earthquake, shaking the ground and causing everything on the walls to crash to the floor. Everyone took cover as it lasted for a good two minutes. I got up and stared at Miracle. That was Vixen's howl, my Vixen. It was starting to worry me because I knew her limits and that howl was way beyond it.

"Ophelia was an alpha wolf spirit."

I looked up to the sound of Miracle's voice who was now standing in front of me. Her aura had grown cold and dark. She looked down at me and slowly began talking. After an hour I finally knew who Ophelia was, more like what she was and why she had died. My Vixen, my beautiful Vixen was now an alpha. I stared down at my hands. Everything about my mother was all starting to make sense now. When I would ask her for help on a spell she wouldn't do it. She would just say to keep going through the motions until the spells started taking effect.

"So Vixen...she's an alpha now?"

Miracle looked at me with a sad look and started avoiding my gaze. Something wasn't right, something felt wrong about all of this. I could feel it, see it in Miracle's aura.

"Yes, Vixen is now an alpha..."

"But?"

"But by the sound and effect of that howl just now, she's way more powerful that Ophelia's alpha abilities than we thought."

I looked around the room to see everyone growing uneasy. Vixen was strong, but now that she had more power and abilities there was no telling how powerful she'd become. The more I looked around the room I could tell by everyone's faces that it wasn't a good thing at all. I looked back towards Miracle and my heart dropped.

"Does this mean Spirit Realm is in danger?"

Miracle closed her eyes as a single tear slid down her cheek.
