~Present time...~
I broke out of my trance when I felt Vixen move away and whispered my name. It felt so good to hear her sweet voice utter my name. She sat down on a log then quickly got back up. She was freaking out because she realized that I was in Physical Realm. I wrapped my arms around her and laughed. Suddenly the boy from the car wreck stood a few feet away. Then he pointed the gun at me, I moved a bit to dodge, hoping to take Vixen with me. He fired and I looked down to see Vixen's shirt being stained by her blood. I began screaming as her body started falling to the ground. I caught her and gently laid her down in the dead leaves surrounding us. I was not going to let her die. I stood up and started chasing him towards the edge of the forest. Just before he reached the tree line I jumped and lunged at him. We both fell and stumbled among the grass. We tossed and turned until I caught a glimpse of his little name tag on his shirt. Nate was his name. I grew furious and started making swings at him. He hurt Vixen and now he was going to pay. I was about to land another blow when I felt a metal barrel against the back of my head. Nate slowly smiled as he placed his gun against my forehead. I was caught and there was nothing I could do to save Vixen from bleeding out. The guy from behind me picked up up and put me on my knees. Nate stood up and brushed himself off.
"Now let's talk. No moving or lights out for you."
I was ready to spit out a smart remark hoping to piss him off, but then everything started moving in slow motion when Vixen's limp body fell to the ground beside me. Her skin had turned pale and I couldn't hear her breathing anymore. Nate stepped forwards with his gun pointed at me.
"Hear her, or you both die."
