"Merry Christmas Ni." Liam called wrapping his arms around his best friend that kissed his cheek, "Thanks Lee, I love it!" In his hands sat a jersey from his favorite team, "Good, took forever to find it." Liam joked laughing. Niall smirked handing Liam a gift in a bag, "Now, I'm giving you this but you can't cry." The younger one furrowed his eyebrows, "Why can't I cry?" Taking the bag, Liam opens it slowly seeing a movie at the bottom, "A DVD?" Liam asks taking it in his hands seeing the cover. It was Love Actually, a movie he already had, "You said it was Louis' and that you actually liked it. So I wanted you to have your own copy so that when you watch it, you don't have to think about him." Niall explained opening his arms to have Liam crash down crying into his chest. It was the best and most thoughtful gift he had ever received. "I thought we agreed on no crying." Niall muttered rubbing Liam's back. Sitting up with a sniffle, Liam weakly smiled, "y-you're right. So, what're your Christmas plans?"

"Same old Same old. Grandparents are coming in, my mom getting drunk on wine and dad on Eggnog." Niall mused kicking back, Liam smiled at the thought of the usual family Christmas. Every year his got a little different. Less meaningful.

Connor sighed rubbing his eyes as he sat in bed. He was supposed to be out and getting pictured with his girlfriend. However he had grown to hate her and the pictures. He wanted privacy. Exiting his bedroom, Connor strolled to the kitchen seeing Rose sipping coffee as she scrolled through her phone, "Resting on the job?" He joked, "Sure am, it's the Holidays. What can I get you Honey?"

"I got it Rose." Yes Connor was an asshole, but he could be sweet. You just had to understand him. He was bitter due to his upbringing, cold because his parents, and realistic to survive. Getting himself a cereal bar, Connor strolled to the Den knowing Liam was in there more than likely asleep or watching a lame movie. "Loser J, you in-" seeing blonde hair with chestnut roots, his cereal bar grew to sand in his mouth. "'Ello Connor."

"Hey Niall." The name rolled from his lips softly, taking a seat next to him, "Liam's picking a movie."

"It's Christmas Eve, your parents don't want you home?" Connor questioned, "Mom would rather Liam have someone who loved him be with him one day of this pathetic holiday." Niall returned, "You hate Christmas too?"

"It's overrated." Niall grumbled glancing to Liam who strolled over, "Christmas is not overrated. It's a special time of year when everyone can be with family." Connor scoffed, "Yes Liam and look where our family is." He had a point. There it was Christmas Eve, Louis was gone, Bradley left the day before. Harry wasn't currently at the house, and Connor wasn't supposed to be. Tristan had left saying he needed time to think, which all had begun speaking code which really meant: "I'm finding a reason to stay."

Turning the drink in his hand he let out a tired sigh. Truth be told he was at home. Just hiding out in his office until he found the strength to face his boys. Liam mostly. He didn't want the face of disappointment he was sure to have. Liam resembled Louis so much it hurt Harry. He didn't want a constant reminder that he not only have fucked over his relationship with his husband, but youngest son as well. It wasn't that Harry didn't love his children, because he did. He loved them. He was just busy. Was he too busy for Liam though? Was he too busy to miss sixteen birthday parties? It then dawned on him that Liam more than likely never had a birthday party after he turned one. If he had Harry couldn't remember.

With a drunk body, Harry had nothing but sober thoughts. He was a terrible father. And husband. He drove off his oldest, closed away from his husband, made his youngest scared of him; and most importantly he let down his family. Glancing at the calendar, Harry did a smirk digging his phone out, pressing call he laughed hearing a man pick up, "hello?"

"Happy Birthday, babe."

"Who is this-?"
