"Niall!" Liam calls waving over his friend with a grin, "Liam!" Niall returns wrapping two arms around the boy, "Feels like forever ago,"
"Nah, just a week. How was your Christmas?" Niall asks, "G-good, u-usual." Liam lies unsure if he wanted anyone to know the information he had just figured out himself. "Well that's good. Dude check this out!" that was Niall. He knew Liam was lying, yet chose to show him the cool gift he had gotten from his parents because he knew if Liam lied than it was something he didn't want to talk about. Niall understood Liam, best friends.
Entering their first period like always, Liam sat in his usual seat up front with Niall behind him talking to Liam and his other friends. Grabbing the book out of his bag for the class, Liam raises up to see a new kid standing at the doorway surveying the class. "Mr.Malik is it? A Seat in front is open." Mr. Knacks reports pointing to the one next to Liam, "H-hi," Liam greets smiling softly towards the teen that looks like he clearly wants nothing to do with Liam or his greeting. "Hey." He sneers back in reply, Liam makes a face returning to the front of the classroom. He had no time for rude people, he had enough of those at home.Hearing the shuffling of feet, Louis turns seeing Tristan with his bag in hand, "L-leaving now?"
"Yea, I 'gotta go back." Louis nods chewing his bottom lip, "D-did," he scoffs, "Why, did you give Liam that picture?" Tristan hardens his look, "He deserves to know why his parents hate him."
"We don't hate him, Tristan. Liam is a young boy, okay? He's sensitive-,"
"You wouldn't know, you're not here." Louis sighs, "I know my kids. L-Liam doesn't need to hear that we don't like him, we love him. We love all of you-,"
"Papa I get it, Bradley hurt your feelings. Get over it, it was sixteen years ago." Louis' jaw dropped, Tristan nods leaving Louis to stand there gawking."I'm home!" Liam calls out of habit, although jumps whenever he sees Louis, "Hello darling."
"W-what a-are you doing here?"
"I live here, it's my house. You're my son." Louis smiles, his hands on his hips as he lets out a small chuckle, "Stop acting so weird, how was your day?" Liam raises an eyebrow trailing Louis to the kitchen where Rose is watching with wide eyes, "G-good Papa."
"Good, I'm glad. Rose I'm sure he'd enjoy a snack not your eyes." Louis growled, the girl snapping out of her trance nodding, "O-of course, here Liam." Handing the boy a bottle of water and granola bar he smiles, "thank you Rose." Louis glares, "Liam? Darling lets head to the living room, quite stuffy in the kitchen. Daddy should be home any minute." The teen's snack grows to sand in his mouth, "D-daddy?"
"Your father sweetheart, we wanted to have dinner with you."
"W-why?" Liam asks fearing he was about to get the belting of his life if both parents were getting involved, "You've had a rough couple of days, we want to make it up to you." Louis admits brushing hair from Liam's forehead, "O-oh." Sitting with Louis on the couch, the Papa watches Liam with a smile. "Besides you didn't open all your Christmas gifts." Handing Liam one of the boxes, the teen inhales deeply wanting to be his naïve self and just give in too Louis already. He had wanted this all his life, why was he fighting it?
Gently pulling on the perfectly tied bow, Liam hears the front door open, Harry entering the living room. Both parents in the same room. Taking a spot on the arm of the couch behind Louis, the two make eye contact before all attention is returned to Liam. He held all attention. Of both parents. In the same room. Removing the lid, Liam sees a neatly folded sweater with a note, A Christmas Hug: Soft like Papa, Smells Like Dad. We love you Liam, Merry Christmas.
With tears in his eyes, Liam looks up at both parents, silent. "Do like it?" Louis asks, all Liam can do is nod. He's shocked, his Papa hadn't spoken more than ten words to him every other week his whole life. What changed?>Vote<
