Adjusting his shoulder strap, Liam shuffles on his feet when his car had yet to pull into the normal spot.
Normally his driver was punctual, Liam having a view from his last class. Today, he stood outside next to the desolate bench awaiting his ride. Glancing down at the phone in his hand, Liam frowns immensely seeing that school had ended forty minutes ago.
The boy had plenty to think about, therefore the time seemed to pass until all his daydreaming about Zayn had caught up with him. Liam wanted to text him, he desired the comfort of the man's hugs.
It was something about him, Liam guesses, the manly aroma he put off, the dominating stance his hazel eyes raided; the chiseled muscles and jawline. Something, something that made Liam fall for the boy with raven colored hair.
Chewing his bottom lip, Liam huffs once again dialing his driver's phone number having it go straight to voicemail.
He'd debated calling Connor, that was until the flashbacks of him and Niall sleeping together entered his brain quickly dissolving the thought of asking his brother for help.
Another thirty minutes passed, Liam slowly watching his cell phone battery die, shoulders slumping when he deemed himself officially screwed and figured he'd be walking home after all.
"Liam?"
He's stepping off the curb, turning his head when his name is called, "Hey," He returns a grin spreading like butter when Zayn waves towards him, "What're you still doing here?"
"I-I could ask you the same thing," Liam retorts giggling when Zayn rolls his eyes fondly, "Art project-"
"For the contest?" Liam asks eyes widening when Zayn bashfully nods, "Yeah it's nowhere near performance ready, but it's getting there."
"I'm sure it's great," Liam assures friendly smiling, Zayn shrugs, "I'm about to go home, do you want a ride?"
Liam knows he'd be punished for it, Louis would throw a fit if Liam tried bumming a ride from Connor. Glancing down at his dead phone, Liam slowly nods meeting Zayn's gaze, "Y-yes please."
Gesturing towards his mustang, Zayn opens the passenger door for Liam having the boy blush, "Thank you,"
Zayn nods shutting it afterward, sliding in the driver's side himself, "How long had you been waiting?"
"N-not long," Liam lies watching out the window as Zayn pulls from the parking lot heading towards his house. "C-can we not go home?" Liam blurts out having Zayn push on the brakes, "W-what?"
"I-I," Liam stutters his eyes traveling to his phone he hopes isn't blowing up, "Is something wrong?" Zayn asks, Liam frowns his eyebrows creased in worry as he motions to his phone, "I-It died-"
"What a shit phone," He muses using the controls on his door to roll down Liam's window, "Toss it."
The younger one gasps, "m-my phone?"
"Yeah, it's dead."
"W-well I can charge it," Liam inquires scoffing with a laugh when Zayn gestures to the scene before them, "We in the middle of nowhere, ditch it."
"Why don't you lose yours?" Liam challenges, Zayn rolls his eyes easily picking his phone up throwing it out Liam's window, "Happy?"
Liam gasps, "Your phone!"
"It's not mine anymore, Mother nature can have it. I don't need a phone when I have someone to actually talk too." Chewing his bottom lip, Zayn moves the gear back to drive, "Are you with me?" Inhaling quickly, he closes his eyes pitching it out the window exhaling loudly once it hits the ground, Zayn speeding off.
"I can't believe I just did that." Liam mutters eyes wide, shoulders slumped, Zayn nods glumly, "I know, you threw your phone. Who does that?" Laughing when Liam hits him playfully, Zayn breaks again shifting to park on the road fully as he crashes his lips to Liam's.
