"What time are you leaving tomorrow?" Niall asks, "You wanna know because?" Liam returns with a smile, "I'll be there to send you off." Niall replies nudging Liam with his elbow, the two walking in tow down the hallway to their first period, "I leave at nine, probably be back at four." Liam informs tiredly, "Full body scan?"
"Yea, mental check up and everything." Liam adds letting Niall enter the room first, "why a mental checkup? Your brain doesn't have cancer-"
"Niall!" Liam chastises going wide eyed, "Sorry, your brain didn't have cancer." Rolling his eyes at his blunt friend, Liam takes his seat turning around to face Niall keeping the conversation going, "Papa wants everything checked, said I've been acting differently lately." Niall scoffs, "He does know he's the one that's been completely different, right?" Liam lifts his lips in an attempt of a smile, "I don't know. I can honestly say I'm not scared."
"Why?" The question is left to hang in the air as once the teacher enters, Liam returns his attention towards the front.
"Good morning class, today we'll be starting a new project with partners." As the class cheers, the glee melts to gloom by the next words, "I have already placed you in groups-" Liam blushes at the remark knowing there wasn't a snowballs chance in hell he'd be with Niall. Or even Nick, someone who loved Niall and tolerated Liam. That was just his shitty luck. Name after name was called, Liam sinking lower in his seat when Niall was paired with Nick, There went my options Liam huffed. "Zayn Malik, Liam Payne." Snapping his look to the boy next to him, Liam parts his lips in shock. His luck really was shit.
Not that Liam even really knew Zayn, but by the way his black skinny jeans had rips, and he constantly wore heavy metal band T-shirts, Liam knew the boy wasn't his innocent cup of tea. Moving his backpack to in front of him, Liam's startled when a desk collides with his. Zayn had already taken authority and pushed the two together. "I-I won't be here tomorrow-"
"Why?" Zayn demands digging his phone out, "I-I, I uh have an appointment." Liam manages, "For?"
"Something personal." Liam rushes slightly annoyed by the interrogation Zayn thought necessary. "Well if our topic is about something stupid, I'll do it, but more work than copy and pasting bullshit it's on you." Liam liked his accent, he enjoyed his hazel eyes and one earring he had. "Got it?" Liam mindlessly nods, he's more tuned into the feeling he gets when Zayn leans in closer taking the sheet of paper from Liam's desk. God he smelt good. Liam's too busy with his thoughts he yelps when Zayn throws his pencil at him, "Hello? Can we get started at least?" Liam nods adjusting his posture, "I kinda need my pencil back," Zayn admits giving a small smile to Liam who furrows his eyebrows before gasping, "Oh! Yea, sorry." Zayn shakes his head with an amused chuckle, "So good news for you is that we got Bi-polar disorder, something I know a lot about." Zayn announces reading the paper over in his hands, Liam nods, "G-good. I-I'll uh, I can help. W-we can meet, a-at um, at my house." Zayn raises an eyebrow, "At your house?" Liam nods in conformation, "Y-yea. I have like this room, that's kinda only mine." Figuring he was referring to his bedroom, Zayn nods, "Sure, tomorrow?" Liam shrugs, "T-that'll work, I-i'll uh, I'll text you, yea?"
"Here's my number, text me what time." Liam grins taking the sheet of paper, "O-okay." Boy was he wrong about Zayn Malik.
