My mother was completely and utterly livid, the worst anger I had ever seen coming from her. Her hair flew around her and her eyes blazed a bright red, cutting through the dark night. My heart stopped momentarily, my breathing catches deep within my chest. I was afraid, so very afraid as she stalked down the porch and came to stand in front of me.
Her hand reached out and slapped me, my eyes shutting at the force of the hit. "You were with him!"
Tears fell down my cheeks, my heart racing as she gripped my arm and dragged me into the home. "Mom, please."
She shoved me into the house, watching as I stumbled onto the hardwood floor. I tried being strong as I stood, my eyes finding hers. They were full of anger and complete fury, causing my heart to crumble inside of me. The weather began howling as the storm raged around us, undoubtedly because of me.
"Would you like me to kill that entire pack!?" I shook my head hastily, my eyes begging with her as she gripped me by my hair. I tried to walk as close to her as I could as she dragged me down the stairs and into the basement. She threw me onto the hard concrete ground before making her way into an adjoining room, coming out with silver chains in her hands.
She wrapped them around me and a wooden post, the silver sizzling my skin and burning everything it came in contact with. I shut my eyes at the pain, I knew if I showed her any emotions she'll hurt them. All I could do was shut my eyes, and pray it'll be over soon.
She tied me so my back was facing her, and I couldn't see what happened next. I hear shuffling around, the door to the adjoining room slamming shut before a rip came through the air. My shirt hung by my sides, covering my chest and my stomach but leaving my back completely bare.
"I hope your worthless mate never sees your skin, he'll be disgusted by it."
That's when I felt the whip.
It was an agonizing pain, radiating through my body as she brought it back down on me over and over again. I screamed, I couldn't help but scream, causing her to bring it down with so much force my eyes began to roll into the back of my head.
'Alaska! Oh my god Alaska what the hell is happening?!'
I heard Andrews voice in my head but I couldn't do a single thing about it. All I felt was her whipping, and my hot blood rolling down my back in waves. I knew I was loosing it fast, and it honestly terrified me that maybe this was how I'm going to die.
I heard him screaming in my head when she finally stopped, my face blank as I tried to keep my tears at bay. "I'll be back soon to finish."
She left with that, the creaking of the stairs alerting me when she made her departure. She kept me tied to the post, my back bare to the empty room and covered in my own blood. I wanted to sleep, to pass out, but the incessant shouts of Andrew kept me awake.
'Whip, hard whip on my back.'
'Oh my god, let me come get you. Please Alaska, I was at dinner when you began screaming. I almost couldn't take it, I almost told them everything because I could feel your pain!'
My face paled, how could I let him go through that? My mother was right. I deserved this. I always deserved this.
'I'm so sorry, I'll raise the wall back up. This is my fault, I'm so sorry.'
'Alaska wai-'
Silence greeted me as I shut my eyes, finally letting my body relax as much as it could against the silver chains and my bloody broken back.
-
I woke up again to the slam of the door above me. My mother ran down the stairs with fury in her eyes, her hands trembling. I could barely see her over my shoulder, but I watched as she picked up the whip and gripped it in her fist.
