To say going back to school wasn't awkward would be a lie. Pack members kept bowing their heads to me in the hallways, hell even a few fucking humans bowed to me! I was uncomfortable with all the attention I was receiving, and it seems River understood that.

"Do you want to leave early?" We were sitting at lunch going over what notes we had for our project due tomorrow in English, but my eyes kept wandering and meeting those of wolves.

They honestly began looking at me like I was some type of god, and it was really starting to piss me off. My mood didn't help the weather outside very much, it became insanely windy and dark. Andrew pretty much gave me a pointed look while River just grinned and asked more about my powers. I diverted him quickly, not really wanting to tell him just how powerful I really was.

It wasn't that I was embarrassed, I was just scared of them honestly. Instead of my mother showing me how to control them over the years, they lay dormant, and now that I wasn't hiding myself, they were raging below me. I sighed as I felt them below my skin, raging through my veins. River looked at my concerned, as if he could see the magic bubbling over and begging to be released.

"I'm okay, just kinda uncomfortable with all the stares." I leaned my head on his chest, grinning as he shivered by my touch.

"They'll ease up, and you'll get used to it. Although, if some of those little mutts don't stop looking at you like they are I'm going to slaughter them." He muttered the end sentence, causing me to chuckle at him. I pulled my head up and kissed him gently at the base of his throat, a deep rumble escaping from him.

"Easy little Alpha." His eyes swirled as he gave me a toothy grin.

"Don't tease me Alaska, and believe me," He bent lower until his lips grazed the skin right below my ear. "I'm anything but little."

I couldn't help but blush, my face heating up as his hands dipped higher up my thigh. I released a pent up breath, smirking as I rested my own hand close to his groin. "Two could play at this game, Little Alpha."

I gently moved my fingers in circles, grinning to myself when his hand halted and he let out a guttural groan. I sped up the pace, my eyes watching his face as he dipped it into my neck and breathed heavily. "Good God Alaska."

The bell rang as he was panting heavily, my fingers lifting up to cup his face. I kissed him gently on the lips, grinning at his half lidded face. "See you."

I left him sitting in the cafeteria with a hard on and a dropped jaw, smirking as the clouds outside finally broke and the sun shown through. Looks like today was beginning to look up.

"Are you named after Alaska Young?" I groaned inwardly at the freshman before me, her red hair splayed all over her shoulders. I could tell she was human by her scent, that and the fact she voluntarily spoke to me.

It seems wolves were too stunned to speak with me now, especially those that would pick on me. Every time I would make eye contact with one of the boys that teased me or one of Paige's minions, they would scurry away and leave whatever room I was in.

"Good Lord, I was born way before the book came out." I watched her face fall, her big green eyes loosing the sparkle that was held within them. "Okay you got me, Alaska isn't my real name."

'That's a lie and you know it.' I huffed as my wolf spoke, waving her away.

"Really?!" I nodded, clearly amused at her excited look. She was practically bouncing in front of me, her hand digging around in her bag before pulling out a tattered copy of her book. She opened it to show me John Greens signature on the inside cover, before pulling out her own sharpie. "Can you please sign this for me? You're the first Alaska I've ever met, and the book seriously changed me."
