I woke up to a dark room with my clothes clinging to my skin. My heart was racing, and I had no idea why. Every time River even brushed against my bare skin, it sent flames to my core. I squirmed as I tried to move away from him, but as soon as I was a foot away pain racked my body. I clutched at my stomach, bending over as I gritted my teeth to keep away my cries of pain.

I had way to much experience doing this.

I realized exactly what was happening, my eyes widening. After a wolf is marked they go into heat, everyone knows that. Why I completely forgot until now baffles me, and I cursed my stupidity as I made my way across the room. I locked the door to try to ensure no other unmated males would try to touch me, my face grimacing as more pain and heat spread through my body.

"Alaska?" His voice cut through the dark room, followed by a soft growl. In an instant he stood before me, his breathing heavy as his fingers trailed my skin. He held me and brought me to the bed, laying my hot body on the blankets.

He hovered over me, his lips kissing my erect nipples as I moaned softly. As my hands clutched the sheets tightly, his mouth moved down across the taut skin of my belly and lower still. Lazily he traced a pattern on my stomach as I rolled over to face him and his hand moved to rest on my hip.

"We can just stay like this," he said softly.

I felt his erection throbbing against my belly, his eyes on me as I reached between our bodies to grasp hold of his hard shaft.

"I want this," I assured him, a slight tremor evident in my voice.

"It'll hurt," he warned me, "but only for a moment."

I waited while he grabbed a condom from his bedside drawer and rolled it on. I felt relieved that I hadn't had to raise the subject; just the idea was embarrassing enough. But on the other hand, I was still having nightmares about an unwanted pregnancy.

"Relax," River practically whispered, feeling some of my tension. "I promise I won't do anything until you're ready."

"Promise?"

"Yes, promise." He kissed me, his teeth nibbling my lower lip as his hand moved between my thighs.

I sighed with pleasure as he dipped into my wetness again and I parted my legs willingly. It took no time at all to bring me to the brink of orgasm for the second time and I was soon panting and trembling with renewed pleasure.
