Melian 8: Our Very First Fight.

Kim walked out the door heated. “Kim!” Aedin yelled out the door. Kim ignored. “Kim, Kimberly Kristen Padilla!” She turned around. “What, what the hell do you want Aedin?!” She yelled back. “You can’t just walk away from me like that, it’s rude.” He says. “I don’t care right now, I’m furious with you!” She calls from the front lawn. “I don’t see why I didn’t do anything wrong!” Aedin yells back. “You didn’t do anything wrong, right!” She yells. “Then explain to me what I did.” He says. “You should know!” He huffs and looks at her. “Goodbye!” She calls. “Fine! Bye!” Aedin walks into the house and slams the door. “What the fuck did I do?!” He yells up the stairs. “Don’t,” Melanie says, but Ian stops her. “Don’t bother, he’s pissed off at her, don’t get him pissed off at us.” Aedin slammed his door and sat on his bed fuming. “What did I do to get her so mad at me?!” He said to himself. He sat there just thinking forever until finally it hit him. “Today’s three years, shit.” He hit himself in the forehead. “I’m so stupid!” he says. He runs downstairs. “Dad, I need the car and ten dollars.” He says. Ian looks up from his computer. “Why?” “Long story short I forgot it was Kim and I’s three year anniversary  and I need to go and buy her some flowers and pray for forgiveness.” He says. “Boy, you’re going to need a little bit more than flowers.” Melanie says. “Don’t worry mom, I got this.” He says. Ian looks over at his wife and then back at his son. He proceeds to toss Aedin the keys. “Be back by curfew promise, thank you!” Aedin runs out of the house. “I swear to god that boy’s your son.” She says. Ian gives her a look and smiles knowing she’s right.

Aedin pulled up to the Padilla house and saw all the lights were out except for one, Kim’s. He ran in the yard and grabbed a few pebbles and tossed them one by one at Kim’s window until finally she opened her window and looked down at him in disgust. “What do you want?” Aedin takes out his guitar, thanking his mom for making him take lessons, and starts to play Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol, their song. She looks at him standing down there singing to her. He finishes the song and she shuts her window. He gets a sinking feeling in his stomach. Was this it? He puts the guitar back into its case and as he goes to pick up the case Kim pounces him to the ground. “I’m so sorry, I over reacted.” She says. “It’s ok, I’m sorry I forgot.” He says smiling down at her. “That was so good.” She says smiling. “Thank you, and I thought those guitar lessons were useless.” He says. “I love you.” She says. “I love you too.” They kiss for a while until Anthony yells out the window. “What the fuck are you guys doing in the backyard?” Kim giggles. “I’ll text you.” She gets up and runs into the house. “Aedin, I would get home before I call your dad.” Anthony says. “Fine, see you later Uncle Anthony!” He calls. Anthony waves back, but still with a stern look.
