//Enoch's POV\\
Olive's birthday last week was a blast. Miss Peregrine went into town and before she left, me and Olive were asked to take everyone to the park. "Yes, Miss Peregrine," Olive said. I started to see the beauty in Olive that Bronwyn mentioned at the beach. We took everyone to the park. I watched as Olive played with Claire, Bronwyn and Fiona. "Liv, huh?" A voice said. I looked over and saw Millard, well Millard's floating clothes.
"What about her?" I asked. "Oh come on! It's pretty obvious that YOU like her!" Millard said. He sat down on the bench next to me. "Well of course I like her! Everybody does!" I told Millard. "Well yeah, but I see the way you look at her," Millard added. "What way?" I asked. "Look Enoch, I'm not as dumb as you think I am," Millard said. "I see the way you look at her when she cries or when she's just plain happy," Millard added.
"What way?!" I exclaimed. "They're all the same! It's the same look you give Emma when you help her with her chores! It's the same look you have when you tie the rope around Emma's waist!" Millard exclaimed. "Enoch! May I ask you something?" Millard asked. "Yeah," I replied. "Do you fancy Liv?" Millard asked. "What?" I asked. "Are you in love with Liv, I mean Olive?" Millard asked.
"Are ya insane!" I exclaimed. "Knew it," Millard said. "Huh?" I asked. "That's the same reaction you had when Victor asked if you liked Emma!" Millard exclaimed. I didn't say anything. "Enoch it's okay if you like Olive," Millard said. "I don't know," I told Millard. "You don't know what?" Millard asked. "If I Love Olive," I replied. "How come?" Millard ask. "I don't know, it's just that seeing how Emma and Abe were in love, kinda hurt," I said.
"I'm no expert on love, but that's just the way it is, but I do know that if you want to show Olive you care, then don't push her away and don't shut her out," Millard said. "What's the difference? Nobody could love a cold selfish heartless jerk like me!" I told Millard. "No, but maybe if you act nicer then Olive wouldn't be your only friend," Millard said. "Besides I saw how worried you look when I threw the ball at Olive and it hit her in the stomach. And when she collapsed on the floor and never got up. You felt as if you would never see her again," Millard explained. "I don't even know why she is still my friend," I told Millard. "Me neither," Millard replied.
"You remind me of Victor," I said. "I do?" Millard asked. "He would give me great advice too," I replied. "Oh," Millard said. "What happened that day, you know when Victor died?" Millard asked. "I don't really want to talk about it," I said. "Fine by me," Millard said. He then skipped off. I started thinking about things. Did I love Olive? I'm not quite sure. I mean sure she's pretty and all but it's not like she'll want to be with me. Emma never did. So why was Olive different?
Victor and Millard were both right. They both gave me good advice. If only I would listen. I did feel something when Olive collapsed on the floor. I don't know what it is. I also felt something when Olive sobbed over Victor's death. She was always there when I need her the most. Soon enough it was time to go home.
