After their fight Enoch and Olive weren't the same. Enoch spent most of his time working on his new creations in his room alone, without Olive. Olive loved Enoch AND his creations but Enoch hurt her feelings. She spent most of her time comforting Emma. Emma swore she would never fall in love again, because she's afraid of getting her heart broken again.
Emma eventually got over it. But she couldn't be happy with a sad Olive. "I'm so sorry about your fight with Enoch," Emma told Olive as they were sitting in the grass. "Emma, I'm not sad about that," Olive said. "Oli, I know you, whenever you're sad, it's usually something about Enoch, or it IS Enoch," Emma said. "It's just so hard to love him, when he loves someone else," Olive said.
"And who is that?" Emma asked. "You, he fancies you," Olive said. "That was when we were kids! Trust me, He fancied me because I was the only girl back then," Emma said. "He still does! Believe me! I know!" Olive exclaimed. Olive grew jealous of Emma because ever since Abe left, Enoch helped Emma with her chore more often and he would always smile while doing it.
Olive would peek through her window every morning to find him smiling every time he tied the rope around Emma's waist. Olive found out that Enoch would never love her. The thought hurt a lot. As much as she hated to admit it, Olive was jealous. "Oli, what's the matter?" Emma asked as soon as she caught Olive's attention. "I'm so sorry Emma," Olive exclaimed. "What for?" Emma asked.
"I was jealous," Olive replied. "Of who......Me!" Emma exclaimed. "I was so jealous that you might take Enoch away from me," I said tears rolling down my cheeks. "Oh Oli, I would never take Enoch away from you, you're my friend and I care to much to put you through that," Emma said. She gave me a big hug and she wiped away my tears. "Thanks Emma," Olive said.
