//Enoch's POV\\
"Keep them closed," I told Olive. "I am!" Olive exclaimed. When we arrived at the location I removed my hands from Olive's eyes. "Okay ya can open them now!" I told her. Olive opened her eyes and she gasped. In front of her was a beautiful waterfall. "Enoch it's so beautiful!" Olive exclaimed. "Found it this morning after breakfast," I told her. "Wow!" Olive exclaimed. I took her hand and I lead her under the rocks below the waterfall. Underneath the rocks were a picnic basket and a picnic blanket. "Oh my gosh! A Picnic!" Olive exclaimed. "Enoch you shouldn't have!" Olive said. "Actually I should of! I promised to treat ya better!" I exclaimed. She gave me a smile. She held my hand and walked over to the basket and blanket. I picked up the blanket and unfolded it and laid it down. We both sat down and I grabbed the picnic basket.
"What do ya want to eat first?" I asked her. I opened the picnic basket and Olive peeked inside. Inside were canisters full of lemonade, a bag full of cookies, there was sandwiches in the shape of triangles, there was also chocolate covered strawberries. She pulled out the canisters of lemonade and the sandwiches. "Sandwiches first then junk food," She said. "Okay," I told her. I closed the picnic basket and set it aside. She handed me one of the canisters. I smiled at her before taking it. She smiled back at me before she laid down and took a bite of one of the sandwiches. I laid down too and reached for a sandwich. I took a bite too. I felt something on my chest and I looked down to see Olive's head. She smiled at me. I smiled back at her. "How long have ya loved me?" I asked her. "Um," She began. She sat up to grab another sandwich. When she grabbed one she laid her head back on my chest.
"Well my first day here I kinda thought you were pretty cute," She told me. "You were moody but I kinda knew that you wouldn't be moody for long," she added. "I started out wanting to be your friend but you were stubborn," She said. "Yeah I get that a lot," I told her. "Yeah," She said. "Days passed and the harder I tried the more stubborn you got," she told me. "But that day when you dropped the jar," She said. "I automatically knew that you wouldn't want help and that you would act as if it was no big deal," she explained. "I never gave up on you," she added. "I meant what I said about under all that toughness you could be a great guy," she said. "Then you said you were sorry and I knew that you meant it," she added. "Then I became your assistant and I felt special," she added. "Weeks passed and before I knew it I fell in love," she told me. "The day when you and Victor ran in the woods to escape from the Hollow," Olive began. "I didn't want to leave you guys," she added. "I know ya didn't," I told her. "But it was a Hollow and ya were new and ya were barely learning about them," I told her. "Besides ya were already close to the home and ya would of had a better chance to survive then we did," I added.
"Hey I know you don't want to talk about it but what happened in the woods when Victor died?" Olive asked. I didn't want to talk about it but I love Olive and I feel that because I love her that it's best not to keep secrets. "Well after ya ran I grabbed Victor and we ran into the woods," I began. "There wasn't hardly any places to hide from it and we didn't have time to climb a tree and even if we did climb a tree we would of been spotted easily so we hid behind a tree," I told her. "Victor told me that we weren't going to survive and I told him to not say that because we were both going to survive," I told her. "He told me that I needed to survive. For Ya," I explained. "I asked him 'What about Bronwyn?' but before he could say anything the Hollow snatched him and killed him," I added. I looked down at Olive and she had one hand covering her mouth in shock. "I never told anybody this but I was scared when the Hollow grabbed me next," I told her. "He swung me around like it did the other two times it snatched me," I explained. "Before it could reach my eyes Miss Peregrine killed it with her crossbow. I ran up to Victor and he had no eyes but his last words were 'Don't push her away Enoch,'" I explained. "Was he talking about me?" Olive asked. "I believe so," I replied. "I mean his last word before he was snatched was 'Olive,'" I told her.
