🙄Dealing With Barron🙄

Jake and the peculiars rushed back towards the Towers in Blackpool. Back at the towers Barron, Miss Edwards, and Mr. Gleeson were sitting and waiting for the return of Mr. Archer, Mr. Clark and the Hollows. "They should've been back by now," Mr. Gleeson said. "I said it was a trap," Miss Edwards said. "If that's true..." Barron began. He got up out of his chair. Hugh popped one of the bees back in his mouth as he ducked down. "Perhaps we should move the Ymbrynes now," Barron added. Hugh quietly got closer to the bottom of the theater chairs. "You're not serious?" Miss Edwards asked as Hugh rushed behind a wall. "Do I not look serious!?" Barron asked her. "Do I not look like a man who has searched the globe..." Barron added as Fiona quietly reached the bottom of the theater chairs.

"Looking for just one more eye to eat..." Barron added. "In hopes of regaining sufficient humanity..." Barron added as the Miss Edwards and Mr. Gleeson stared at him. "To return to his research?" Barron asked. "A man who's spent years hunting Ymbrynes..." Barron added as Bronwyn quietly reached a set of theater chairs behind him. "In preparation for this night..." Barron added. "And two, no, three days in Wales pretending to look at birds!" Barron exclaimed. "I assure you..." Barron added. "I will not stand idly by..." Barron added. Olive quietly rushed to a wall that was behind Miss Edwards and Mr. Gleeson. "To see my destiny," Barron said. Olive turned her head towards Emma and Jake. "Derailed," Barron said. He turned around and was automatically blown backwards by Emma who was on the steps.

Barron screamed before hitting a target. Emma kept blowing keeping Barron there as Jake loaded an arrow into Miss Peregrine's crossbow. He shot the arrow and Barron moved his head before the arrow hit him. Miss Edwards and Mr. Gleeson got up from their chairs and started for Emma. "Hugh, do it now!" Jake exclaimed as Emma ran out of breath. Hugh popped up from behind a theater chair and opened his mouth and bees flew out and made their way towards Miss Edwards and Mr. Gleeson. Miss Edwards and Mr. Gleeson were grunting while trying to swat away the bees. Miss Edwards ripped off her skirt to reveal black pants and white hairy legs and a tail. She began swatting at the bees with her skirt.

Miss Edwards looked up and saw a narrow board and she climbed up it. Mr. Gleeson was covered in Hugh's bees. He screamed and ran but ended up falling in a pool of cold water. When Miss Edwards reached the top she heard Barron's voice. "Come back here!" Barron exclaimed. "Get them!" Barron exclaimed. Miss Edwards grabbed a long piece of rope. She looked down and saw a bucket full of sharp knives. She jumped off and swung across grabbing the bucket of knives and swinging to another narrow board. She turned around and squatted down pulling out a two knives. Which she threw at Hugh.

Hugh ducked in time and two knives hit a theater chair. She saw Emma and Jake And grabbed a few more knives. "Go!" Jake exclaimed to Emma as one whizzed past him and hit a wall. "Get down!" he exclaimed to Emma. Miss Edwards threw two more knives both hitting two theater chairs close by. Claire and The Twins were behind a railing behind Miss Edwards. Which they quietly snuck onto.

Claire looked at The Twins when they were behind Miss Edwards and put her finger to her lip reminding them to stay quiet, then she pointed at Miss Edwards signalling the reason why. "You think you can stand in my way?" Barron asked. Jake poked his head out from behind a mechanical elephant. Miss Edwards saw him and threw a knife hitting the mechanical elephant right above the eye and Jake hiding behind it. "You, Jake, content to age and die..." Barron began. "As if you had not the gift of peculiarity at all!!!???" Barron exclaimed.

Just then out of nowhere Enoch popped up and was just about to whack Barron when Barron back slapped him real hard knocking him out as he hit the floor. Enoch was already exhausted from controlling so many skeletons.  Barron let out a laugh. Jake and Emma watched from behind the mechanical elephant at Enoch's unconscious body swallowing hard. "I AM A HIGHER BEING!" Barron exclaimed. From a wall behind Barron Olive saw Enoch's unconscious body lying on the floor.

She took her eyes from Enoch, to Barron, then back to Enoch, then back at Barron. She found herself taking off one of her gloves and making her way towards Barron. "I hold the secret to eternal life!" Barron exclaimed. "Sorry to interrupt," Olive said. She tapped Barron on the shoulder with her ungloved hand and Barron's jacket caught on fire. "I..." Barron began saying to Emma and Jake. "What the..." Barron said as he felt his back get hotter. He looked at his back and saw that it was on fire.

"Oh!" he kept exclaiming as he began to take off his jacket and saw that Olive was backing up slowly. When Barron took off his jacket he gave Olive a mean glare. He chucked his jacket at her hitting her across the face. Emma watched Jake struggling with loading another arrow. Barron chucked his jacket at Olive again making her let out a tiny scream as she fell backwards and hit the ground with a loud thud and a lot of force.

Olive was knocked out too just like Enoch. Jake had finally loaded the arrow when he saw Bronwyn nearby. "Bronwyn," Jake said. Bronwyn got up and broke a theater chair off of its hinges and kept it above her head. Barron smiled at Olive's unconscious body before turning around to put on his jacket that was no longer on fire. Jake stood up from behind the mechanical elephant and shot another arrow at Barron.

The arrow whizzed passed Barron hitting the target behind Barron. "Huh!" Barron exclaimed. "You missed me again Jake!" Barron said as he turned to face Jake who already ducked behind the mechanical elephant once more. "I take it accuracy is not your peculiarity!" Barron said smiling. Before he knew Bronwyn threw the metal theater chair hitting Barron on the side of the head.

Barron let out a loud groan as he hit the ground. Jake got up with the arrow loaded and Barron got up madder than before. Barron let out a loud snarl. Jake stood up with the crossbow in hand and Barron transformed his hand into a whip snatching the crossbow out of Jake's hand. Jake had an extra arrow and he pulled it out. He began running towards Barron. Barron held out his hand and shoved Jake making him hit his back on the hard ground. Emma let out a huge gasp.

"Abe was a much worthier adversary," Barron said chuckling down at Jake. Barron then walked passed Jake and began to head backstage. Jake rolled onto his stomach. "Don't let him get to the birds!" Jake exclaimed. Horace jumped in front of the entrance to backstage. The only thing Horace had on him was his monacle so he swiped that out and put it on his eye. A bright projection of birds appeared and Horace flashed it in Barron's eye. Barron began to groan and cover his eyes but then after 5 seconds he started laughing.

Barron was a wight and a wight has white eyes so the bright projection didn't blind him at all. Barron began walking towards Horace and the projection dimmed as Horace removed the monacle from his eye. Barron put his hands on Horace's shoulders still laughing. "Ooh. Hmm," Barron said. "You must put me in contact with your tailor," Barron said before shoving Horace to the side and continuing on. "Ymbrynes, Ymbrynes! Here I come!" Barron exclaimed as Jake struggled to get up.
