"Miss Peregrine! Come Quickly! Miss Avocet's awake!" I exclaimed. She followed behind me and I led her to the parlor. Miss Avocet continued to tell everyone how she escaped. She saw Miss Peregrine and she told her everything. "Oh, Miss Peregrine. They found my new loop," Miss Avocet began. "The children. I tried to save them..." she added. "But they were so many Hollows," she added. "I don't know how I escaped," She said trying not to cry. Miss Peregrine embraced her in a hug. "You're safe now," Miss Peregrine said rubbing Miss Avocet's back.

"None of us are safe," Miss Avocet said pulling away from the hug. "They set up the machine in my loop," Miss Avocet said. "They put it in the cellars at Blackpool Tower," I began. "They're still there," I added. "Their machine?" Miss Peregrine asked confused. "The experiment," Miss Avocet replied. "They intend to do it again!" Miss Avocet exclaimed. "This time, he's using more Ymbrynes," Enoch added with his arms crossed while glaring. Jake looked at him. "He still wants to be immortal," Enoch added. Miss Peregrine stood up and started pacing. "Do Hollows only attack peculiars?" Jake asked.

"Of course not!" Miss Peregrine exclaimed. "They're monsters, Jake," Miss Peregrine said. "They'll slaughter anything in their path," Miss Peregrine added. "Some sheep on the island were killed," Jake said. Miss Peregrine turned around. "You don't think they're here already, do you?" Jake asked. "Have you seen anyone with white eyes?" Miss Avocet asked. He shook his head no. Miss Peregrine looked down at her hands. "I'm sorry, children. We can't remain here," Miss Peregrine said. "What?" Enoch said uncrossing his arms. "We'll leave on the first ferry off the island tomorrow," Miss Peregrine said.

"Pack anything of importance," Miss Peregrine said. "Then it's sandwiches and early to bed," Miss Peregrine said grabbing the twins' hands. "Are we leaving for good?" Hugh asked following Miss Peregrine out of the parlor. "When are we coming back?" Fiona asked following Hugh. "Never!" Enoch exclaimed. "If Miss Peregrine's not here to reset the loop tomorrow night, the house gets bombed," Enoch exclaimed following after Horace. "But our house!" Claire said sniffling while moving her head around the room. "Don't cry! Miss Peregrine will find you another lovely house, somewhere else!" Miss Avocet exclaimed grabbing Claire's hand.

Me and Enoch haven't talked since our fight the night Jake arrived. He seems grumpy. Well he's always grumpy but he's not usually this grumpy. I went to my room and packed up some clothes including the one Horace gave me for my birthday. I put on the necklace that Miss Peregrine gave me and the charm bracelet that Fiona gave me. I grabbed my journal. Not going to leave that behind to get bombed. I put everything else in a suitcase and laid it outside my room. I knocked on Enoch's door. "Who is it?" He asked. "It's me!" I said. "Go away Olive!" He said. I had it with his attitude. I opened the door and saw Enoch packing his stuff.

He looked up and saw me. "What part of 'go away' do ya not understand?" Enoch asked. "Look Enoch!" I began. "If you don't want to talk to me anymore, the least you can do is tell me straight up instead of ignoring me," I said. "Because I'm tired of waiting for your reply!" I exclaimed. "Just because I'm used to it, doesn't mean it doesn't hurt anymore," I added. He looked at me shocked. "Olive, It's not like that!" Enoch exclaimed. "Then what is it like?" I asked.

"Just because I'm here for you all the time, doesn't mean you can take me for granted!" I exclaimed. "Olive I..." Enoch began as I turned to leave. "What?" I asked stopping to turn around. "I..." Enoch began. "Enoch, if you want me to stay and be your friend, then just say so," I told him. "If not then I will go," I added. Enoch let out a sigh and walked over to his window. I walked over and placed my hand on his shoulder. He didn't move it away. "Just leave," he muttered quietly.

"Well then I guess......" I said. "Goodbye Enoch," I said. I gave him a quick kiss on his cheek before leaving his room. I needed someone to talk to and Emma was too busy arguing with Jake. Bronwyn came up the stairs. "Uh Olive?" She spoke up. I closed Enoch's door. "What is it Bronwyn?" I asked. "Can you give this back to Enoch?" She asked she gave me a key. She gave me a smile before grabbing my suitcase and descending the stairs. I held the key in my hand and began inspecting it. Victor, I thought. This is the key to Victor's room, I thought again.

Maybe he will understand. I walked down the hall to Victor's room and inserted the key and gave it a turn. A click was heard and I opened the door and entered the room. I closed the door behind me. I saw Victor lying in bed lifeless. That would of been me too, if it wasn't for Enoch. Ugghh! Why am I even thinking about him? I wondered. I walked over to Victor and a tear rolled down my cheek. "H-h-h-hi Victor," I said. "I don't know how you found out that I loved Enoch," I said. "But you knew!" I exclaimed. Why did he have to die? I wondered. "You were a great friend," I told him. "And because you were so nice and kind, I will try my best to look after Bronwyn," I told him.

"She misses you," I told him. "A-a-a-a lot," I added. "Everyone does, really," I said. "Ever since your death things have changed around here!" I told him. "We are now living in a loop, Hugh has a crush on Fiona, Fiona has a crush on Hugh, Horace's dreams are starting to come true, Claire eats with her back mouth more often, Bronwyn is staying strong and she helps out around the house,  Millard got into pranks, The Twins are expressing how they feel more often than usual, Emma got over Abe but now she's hanging out more often with Jake, Enoch hasn't changed neither have I, Miss Peregrine goes out everyday at 4:00 to kill that Hollow that killed you, it came back and grabbed my foot, Enoch and Miss Peregrine saved me," I told Victor.

"I don't know what you said to Enoch that night when you died," I said through tears. "But whatever you said, I have to say Thank You!" I told him. "He changed. Well, for only a few days, but still," I said. "We held hands for the first time. Thought you like to know since you always shipped us together," I told him. "But he still likes Emma," I added. "J-j-j-just for once, I want to be somebody's first choice," I said through tears. "But I realized that, that day will never come," I said standing up. With that being said I left Victor's room. I went to my room and grabbed my light purple coat. I heard the doorbell and I rushed downstairs with everyone to see who it was.
