Enoch rescued my life AGAIN. I owe him again. Movie Time came and I sat down on an empty spot on the couch. Suddenly someone sat down next to me. I was shocked to see that it was Enoch. He gave me a smile. I gave him a smile before turning my attention to the screen. Enoch was sweet and caring I remember his exact words to me. No......... I'm............ Not............ Leaving............ Ya. He actually cares about me. Today's movie was the whole hollow grabbing my leg thing.
Nobody saw it but they heard it from the parlor. When the movie was over Miss Peregrine came in with a hurt expression on her face. "What's wrong Miss Peregrine?" I asked. "I never thought this would actually happen," Miss Peregrine said. "What?" I asked. "Children I just found out that the Germans are going to drop a bomb on our house," Miss Peregrine explained.
"So we're going to die?" Millard asked. "No, we are going to have to go in a loop," Miss Peregrine said. "I'm going to have to reset this day," Miss Peregrine said. The bomb was going to hit the house seven minutes past nine. Everyone went outside to watch the reset while me, Claire and Enoch stayed in the living room. Claire wanted to play a record so she rushed to go get it.
"Guess your stuck with me huh?" I asked Enoch. "Yeah, as long as it's ya," he replied. Claire came back with a record and she started to play it. The song "Run Rabbit," played.
Run rabbit, Run Rabbit
Run run run
Don't give the farmer his
Fun fun fun
He'll get by without his Rabbit pie
So Run Rabbit Run Rabbit
Run run run.
The clock hit 5 minutes passed 9. And we heard planes flying over the house. By 9:06 the last plane was over the roof of the house. He then dropped the bomb and it got closer and closer to the house. I held onto Enoch and closed my eyes when I thought we were going to die. I opened my eyes to see that everything was frozen in place. Suddenly Miss Peregrine rewinded her pocket watch and everything started working backwards.
Claire's record was playing backwards and it was raining outside. The raindrops moved backwards and the bomb reversed direction and went back inside the plane. Miss Peregrine kept rewinding her pocket watch till it was September 2nd 1943 and it was 9:07 at night time. It was September 3rd 1943 all day everyday. Miss Peregrine had to reset the loop everyday for us to continue living.
When Miss Peregrine finished resetting the day she came back into the living room with the rest of the peculiars. "Okay everybody clean up and off to bed," Miss Peregrine said. She looked at me and that's when I realized I was still holding on to Enoch. I let go of Enoch and rushed upstairs and into my room. How Embarrassing I thought. I put my nightgown on and grabbed my journal. I wrote about what happened today. It didn't take long before I fell asleep.
